Millennial Mayhem

‘Twas a lovely morning on the border of Cary and Apex, where Miss Laura Duncan once cooked some chard on a stone. 18 men gathered to pay tribute to the Millennial generation with a goal of 2000-count exercises: 1000 reps and 1000 meters of running. Dodging the expected deluge of rain, we had a fine time in the cool, soggy gloom…one might even say “moist.” YHC had found the Millennial workout on the Exicon and thought it would be a great way to challenge the PAX to a well-rounded beatdown. Windchill Warrioring

Advice about being out in the cold from the Boy Scouts: layer up. Advice about being out in the cold from “To Build a Fire”: keep moving (and learn to build a fire) Advice about being out in the cold from Costco: Little Hotties are $30 for a box of 40. Cherries and Pain Sticks

Pre-Blast This being my virgin Q and my first time at SNS, I truly appreciate all the support and advice from the PAX. Special thanks go to Angry Elf for the pep talk the night before and for planning the Thang with the pain sticks. I do wish I had made it to Q school. It is amazing how much I didn’t pick-up naturally from two months of just doing the workouts. [Read More]

Kicking off USA Birthday Week

As we come up on 241 years as a country, YHC felt it was appropriate to celebrate with a little victory lap. It’s a beautiful lake with wonderful scenery and a typically well maintained Apex trail running around it. The backblasts suggested A-Team hadn’t run a lap in quite some time (YHC found reference to one such effort in ‘16 led by a “McCants”) so here we go. Warm-up: this was sort of done on the run [Read More]

Arrivederci

It was November 2014 when YHC and Michelob first posted to Ateam. At our one year F3aversary in November 2015, then Site Q’s Denali and Grease Monkey handed off the shovel flag to us to man for the next 2.5 years. We supposed it was time to share the honor with some HIM who hadn’t had the opportunity to do so yet. McCants already had the Q for today, so YHC requested it from him under the guise of “I’m leaving town and wanted to Q before I leave” – He bought it :-) [Read More]
