Antisocial Distance

The original plan for this morning involved some partner work and pull ups, but in keeping with the current SD policy YHC decided to save that workout for a later date. As of Wednesday afternoon YHC had been stuck at home all week without running since Sunday, so the PAX were instructed via pre-blast that we would do some running. YHC rolled up at 0501 with Revere and Mohawk, we split up and did some EC running and pull ups. [Read More]

Momma Said Knock You Out

Having just passed over the #AO-Wed-LionsDen site Q duties over last week, YHC had already planned to start traveling a bit on Wednesdays. The first stop on the #retirement_tour was Tortoise. Or is it Tortoises? A few PAX were doing pull-ups early, then others started to roll in. Finally Yogi came rolling in. The PAX, having just been talking about proper social distancing, mentioned that Yogi was likely to just pull in close for a nice kiss. [Read More]

Can't Take It Anymore!

YHC saw the open slot on the Q sheet last week but realized it was the day after Tobacco Road, my first half marathon, and thought it might not be wise to sign up. Sunday afternoon rolled around and the sheet was still blank, and with no worse than slightly tender feet and sore quads, I thought, “eh, what the heck. I’ll probably fartsack otherwise.” 4:30 arrived with the unnerving punctuality that early Monday mornings tend to possess, and we were off to the races with plenty of time for me to sit in the truck and plan my Q. Triple scoop of Dora-tabata

17 Pax decided to Q shop and ended up at the POGL’s finest downtown AO, Disturbing the Peace this morning. YHC stayed up way too late last night finalizing my plans for the Q today. It was planned out to the minute. No fng’s and not a minute to spare, time for the pain. Quick mosey to the church parking lot to warm up. This was timed. SSH’s, good mornings, sir fazio, calf stretch and runner stretch. [Read More]

Hell's Bells Baseball

Inspiration for this workout came from the exicon. Wahoo once said that F3 is like recess, and I really enjoyed the competitive nature of F3 baseball. I really wanted something that would keep our heart rate up, but allow bruisers to participate. When Water Wings and Disco Duck requested a 7th inning stretch, I knew this was a good workout. Started with a quick 1/4 mile mosey and then moved into Warm Up [Read More]

Musical Monday with Hanson, Ep. 1

A few weeks back YHC was bemoaning the fact that we have an AO named Hells Bells but rarely have any music. Then I had a revelation. The Q picks the soundtrack. Also, I had been planning to Q more this year. Thus the PAX were stuck with YHC for 45 minutes this beautiful Monday morning. YHC arrived around 4:50 and hit the pull up bars while Revere and Mohawk went for a run. [Read More]

Burpees, Bears, and Blocks! Oh my!

For my VQ, I thought it best to combine some of my least and therefore most memorable workouts over my last six months in F3. The two Q’s who I got the most from was Banjo and Wahoo. These two Q’s provided the inspiration for burpees and blocks. In order to increase the alliteration in the title of the workout, I did some digging in the Exicon to find an exercise that combined bear crawls and cinder blocks. [Read More]

There Were 3

It was a rainy morning in the gloom at Hot for Teacher. 12 PAX showed up expecting to be put through the paces at Camp Frisco…but YHC noted that everyone’s dues were paid in full up to March so a kinder, gentler beatdown was in order. (Camp Frisco motto: “Why breathe boring regular free air when CF can sell you premium air for the same cost plus a minor mark up? [Read More]

Ropes and a tire.

When Wrench announced he couldn’t keep his tire at his new house and wanted to see if we could stash it somewhere, I jumped on this chance to get it. I want this tire. We made arrangements to get it to Hells Bells and with no Q on the sheet for the week, YHC threw his own name up there to get the first chance with the tire. So 22 HIMS showed up this morning, no fngs. [Read More]

Intimidator Birthday Surprise Sans Intimidator

I found out the week earlier that Intimidator had just turned 59, but hadn’t told anyone. Never one to let a birthday go uncelebrated I planned a great Q for intimidator, yet he didn’t show. Oh well. Thang 1: 7’s Did 7’s on the hill next to the strip mall with diamond merkins at the top and jump squats at the bottom Thang 2: Intimidator Man-Makers Since we all want to be like intimidator when we hit 59 we did catch me if you can with man makers.
