Flag Day Fun

June 14, 2018 – Flag Day YHC Bayonne was honored to host 19 other men (including two F3 HIMs’ sons) for his first “real Q” (not counting a last-minute stand-in for McCants at FWD 5/29) on a glorious sunny Flag Day morning in the Peak of Good Living, USA. Today’s magic number was 14, in honor of the day. Tank Top participation was mediocre, with YHC and 8 other HIM’s sporting some form of non-sleeved attire (Red Ryder and Disco Duck being among the best dressed). Superman Protocol

19 of the finest HIM in all of Apex descended upon the Apex Nature Park probably thinking of a nice easy transition into the weekend by the old man Q. Let me tell you boys, us RESPECTs still got some whup-ass in us. 0545 - let’s go Warm-Up Line up in 4 lines for a cadence run sung to the F3 principles jody written by a Hampton Roads PAX. I understand some of you weren’t able to hear me; sorry about that. [Read More]

Vanilla

There have been a lot of requests for vanilla workouts recently, so YHC set out to devise a workout with no sprinkles, no whipped cream, no cherry on top, just straight vanilla. Warm-Up Mosey over to the community center parking lot and circle up for side straddle hops, hillbillies, standard merkins, plank jacks and squats. The Thang Line up at the first island for double sevens. Run to the far island and do twelve merkins, run back and do two squats. [Read More]

Gloves optional, Shoes required

13 HIMs (most of them with shoes) met for a high-tempo beatdown at the Koka Booth Amphitheater. A handful of the pax had just spent an awesome weekend camping with the 2.0’s at Hanging Rock State Park and had some extra calories to burn off. After brief mumblechatter and confirming all Pax had shoes, we set out…. Quick jog around the lot to pick up last arrival and avoid penalty Burpees, then across Regency for some Warm-arama: [Read More]

Dante's Peak Walkabout

Perfect weather greeted a group of 19 PAX this fine morning at Dante’s Peak, Carpex’s premier Friday AO. YHC was continuing with Scout Week, this time focusing on the Webelos Walkabout Adventure. The Webelos Walkabout is a 3 mile hike in nature. We encountered snakes, star (jumps), spider (man/peter parker), big beautiful rocks, and brotherhood this morning! In full discloser, there was a lot of mumble chatter on slack about how much distance we would cover this fine morning. [Read More]

3 is the magic number

Historians, F3 Founders, Hip Hop Band De La Soul and of course Schoolhouse Rock all agree that 3 is a magic number. Three is a magic number. Yes it is, it’s a magic number. Somewhere in ancient mystic trinity, You get three as a magic number. The past and the present and the future. Faith and Hope and Charity. The heart and the brain and the body, Give you three as a magic number [Read More]

Warning: Cloudy with a chance of Sharknado

In the great tradition of the original Bounty Hunters site Q Water Wings, YHC wanted to continue the benchmark day fitness challenge. In an effort to save a little gas in the tank for the main event, we relocated the historical fitness test location of Baucom Elementary School over to Apex Town Hall courtyard across the street from the skate park. It was October of 2016 at Field of Dreams when YHC (and Carpex, I think…) was first introduced to the Sharknado. [Read More]
