The weirdest workout I have been to so far

"The weirdest workout I have been to so far" - Biner Today 15 HIM's took their DRP and posted at Gran Torino.  YHC showed up hearing grumbles about "will he even show" despite being 5 minutes early.  This is Carpex after all, we pre-funk every workout unless you are doing EC. Starting off the workout with 3 minutes to reinstate the mission, do the pledge of allegiance, and making sure disclaimers were said, it was obvious they PAX were doubting the beatdown would live up to the High Tempo workout they showed up for. "I am rather inclined to silence" Abraham Lincoln

28 HIMs showed up for my VQ and TCLAPS to Liverpool for the EC run (Hoping if I tired him out enough he would limit the MC he promised to deliver. Today I learned never to underestimate that man and his ability to talk) 0530 hit, disclaimer and we recited the pledge. Checked my weinke and it said mosey so we did. Warm-Up Ran the path along the railroad tracks - stopped at the batting cages and 5 burpees OYO - remember the batting cages [Read More]

Y'all Hear That???

At 0515, YHC started the fellowship mosey of a half-mileish to that newest of AOs, Lion’s Den, with Hello Kitty and Smithers in tow. Who doesn’t want a brand-spanking new AO virtually in their back yard? Upon arrival Sour Mash is there with the newly purchased but not yet completed shovel flag. Soon a Baker’s Dozen PAX have assembled and the clock strikes 0530. One FNG, the disclaimer is pronounced, Allegiance is pledged, and Sour Mash takes the reigns. [Read More]

7 for 7s

A select group of 7 showed up at Sovereign Grace Church early Monday morning at a site so new that it still doesn’t have a tag on the F3 Carpex web site yet. The location close to home and the allure of a high tempo workout was enough to inspire YHC to take the lead in order to continue building momentum for this new AO. Here’s what we did… Warm-Up [Read More]

11 pax, including YHC, arrived on time for the Bounty Hunters beatdown. Some may have peaked out the window prior to finalize their decision, but alas, they took that DRP and showed. It was just your normal average beatdown. We got in about 2.5 miles, we did some basic exercises including lots of merkins. We were safe, we stayed together, we mumbled when QIC said things like, “ready, go” instead of “Exercise! Super Bowl After-Party

“Never miss a Monday.” Very popular saying in the Fern setting workout crowds………….except for the Monday following Super Bowl. IT must be the same for F3, because I seriously doubt that anyone is intentionally avoiding my Q’s. Right, Shutty-Cakes. A whole touchdown worth of people. Only 17 people short of the total amount of points scored by my beloved Wolfpack on Saturday. Word on the street is they were out late shutting in down at East Village Friday night. [Read More]

Run and DMC

I don’t mind cold weather so long as I don’t have to scrap frost off my windshield. What does that have to do with the workout? Nothing, except that it was cold. It was cold until we got going. But how far were we going? All the way to CC Jones park. This is great little park for both workouts and for the family. Definitely recommend taking the family there if you are in the area.
