Humid Hills

Little thick out there this morning. Little thick. Warm-Up Mosey around the lot next to the astroturf field and circle up for imperial walkers, daisy pickers, arm circles and burpees. The Thang Run up the hill to the next parking lot and back, stopping on the way down at each light pole for various exercises (merkins, LBCs, monkey humpers). Mosey to the shelter and partner up. P1 takes a lap around the lot, P2 does irkins, derkins and dips until relieved. [Read More]

The Winterfell Winkie

Waking up just a wee bit earlier this fine morning in order to make the trek to Winterfell as the Q. I was gretted first and foremost by a balmy 66˚. Then 7 of Carpex finest HIM joined me as we toured the AO. Once again the winkie as mentioned and audibles were called. As there were no FNG’s a brief disclaimer was given and the Pledge was recited. From there we mozied around side of campus to the bus parking lot area for warmups. [Read More]

It adds up

EC Showed up a bit before 5:30 thinking that FOD was an early start time. Then remembered that FOD is old school. 5:45AM Start old school. Luckily Gump was in the parking lot just waiting to put on some more miles. The man finished his first marathon Sunday and he’s already looking for some EC?! Crazy. We got in a couple miles in ~15 minutes. I would have taken him back to the flag the long way but Gump talked me out of it. [Read More]

Wild Wild West Weather

Oh, how I love the weather fluctuations here in the land of Carpex. One week its Winter, a week later Spring and then Fall once again. This morning didn’t disappoint with a solid 48f to start the morning with the traveling “Circus” in tow. With no FNG’s, we started with the pledge. Mozy around large parking lot which included: Karaoke Butt kickers backwards run Back to the flag for warmups which consisted of [Read More]

Green wave at FOD...

Great morning at FOD – always a good crowd and fun men to be with! But holy crap the site-q’s are doing a terrible job keeping the pollen down…. couple of times it was tough to get the cadence out with a headfull of green dust. That however, did not slow down this fine crew of men! Here’s what happened according to my recollection… gather at the flag (someone mentioned it’s a bit short, but that’s not everything in life, right? [Read More]

Records are meant to be broken

As YHC has not attending a workout at Claymore more than a handful of times, he along with One Direction forgot its a 5:45 start. That being said a few warm up laps around parking lot killed the extra time. Beginning at 5:45, I a call for FNGS was made with no reply. With no flag in site.. we mozy’d pickle as then a site-q arrived with a flag. Stopped for pledge and then continued to other parking lot for warmups [Read More]

Missed Shots and Merkins

Field of Dreams. The name just conjures up so many positive thoughts. YHC has spent a lot of time in this park, not related to F3. Many baseball and softball games have been played/coached/umpired out here. And it’s a great site to move around and travel. So we’re going to do a low mileage, core-heavy, sorta March Madness themed workout. Warm Up Pledge of Allegiance, and disclaimer. Do a mosey lap around the parking lots. [Read More]

It Gets Harder as it Gets Easier

As I’ve been saying for a while now, I think I got spoiled by the seemingly extended warm weather we had this year. Cause now you can really notice the cold thats here now. This was certainly the case this past Tuesday as YHC ventured out to Q Field of Dreams. Which was the last of the different Tues/Thurs workouts I had planned to Q this year! 19 Pax in total made it out to the site, though the runners were already long gone by the time the bootcamp began.
