It's Quarantine Day... Again

Getting back is hard, but making it out is rewarding! Today marks the 1-Year Anniversary to my affiliation with F3. For those who don’t know the story, Earhart had been working hard talking F3 up to me for years (he and I were part of the same Y-Guide Tribe.) I finally pulled the chord and decided to give it a try, after years of Treadmill running and T25 (I did a month of Camp Gladiator as it was free too. [Read More]

A Walk To Remember

Like most guys whenever Orphan asks me to do something I always ask “Will Garfield be there?” Not because there is anything wrong with Orphan, he’s okay, mostly okay, but Garfield is just cool. I played a lot of sports as a kid (Madden Football, Blades of Steel, Mike Tyson’s Punch Out, and some Duck Hunt to stay well rounded) so that meant I had little time to pursue being cool. High Tempo Euphoria

18 came to workout, a day after a much needed slap on the old wrist from the Nant’an, so with that a heightened sense to get the Pax working out, but also spread ’em out a touch, YHC designed a high tempo beatdown with that in mind. High tempo warm-ups and lightening quick Good Mornings. Y’all need to chill about these Good Mornings. Hell, we can’t even count and do seal claps properly anymore. [Read More]

Ma grunted a merkin

The negative impact of COVID-19 on travel is obvious. Fact is, in many respects, travel has overnight become something most people are avoiding like crazy. Hopefully not for ever but there’s definitely been a fair bit of upheaval: cancelled business trips, less inviting person trips, family “getting by” with video calls and summer plans going arse over tit. All in all, it sucks. Case in point, RDU saw more passengers on an average day in February than they did in all of April 2020. [Read More]

RESPECT

This Guy! Largemouth, Denali and Wonderbread for some EC laps around the AO. Today is a perfect example of never giving up on your dreams. I’ve waited for this day for 50 years and it finally happened. You see kids…. Great group of defiant HIM this morning for an early rollout of Phase 2. We ran, circled up, and celebrated the day of my birth with 5 Good Mornings; 19 Steve Earles; and 70 (IC) SSH. [Read More]

New COVID-19 Version High Tempo

A new time and a new history being made. This is the first week of Full Metal Jacket since schools have closed and a new work from home policy has begun for most due to COVID-19. Always looking at the silver lining, that should equate into more HIMs being able to post…and we were not disappointed. First exercise, the Pledge of Allegiance Warm Up Took off on a little mosey to explore across the street. [Read More]

Rush Hour Racoon

Backblast for my VQ, so I guess this is my VBB. As I was reviewing the extensive F3 Exicon for exercises/routines for my VQ, I saw the Racoon Crawl. I knew I had to incorporate that into the Q. So the whole Q was built around doing that exercise. There are a lot of animal crawls, walks, etc. That’s for another Q. No FNG’s, No Disclaimer, Mission, Pledge. Warm Up: [Read More]

There's nothing wrong with a little vanilla now and then

23 PAX showed up on a beautiful Thursday morning for a little fun and some exercise. On the run in to the AO YHC was still working on the plan for this morning. Here’s what was come up with: Warmup: One FNG, so the typical disclaimers given, but YHC struggled to remember the mission statement on the spot, so we pledged allegiance and off we moseyed to the community center. Why? Because We Can

For all of us who are in familiar surroundings, around our families and friends, Christmas can be a time of good food, good times, and celebration. Some of us, YHC included, have been eating way too much good food, and hitting the egg nog with frequency previously seen only when Clark Griswold got his Jelly of the Month club bonus. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to those who are unable to spend Christmas with their families, due to being deployed all over the world. [Read More]

Freebird and Frisco Co-Q

Day 4 of Frisco Terror(ible) Week of Qs. One of the skills I have learned is “if you can’t do it, co-Q it”. Thus faced with the prospect of Bounty Hunters being 4th on the list this week and a massive, runnable site I decided to EH the exclusive and sometimes elusive Freebird as a co-Q. Luckily I twisted my ankle a few weeks back getting a ladder out of my garage for him so he feels bad enough to jump in an Q with me.
