Frisco Rucks Up His Q

Day 5 of Frisco Terror(ible) Q week. Nugget of Wisdom on designing Ruck workouts.: Everything sounds better the night before with your feet propped up, a beer in hand, and no 30lbs pack on your back. When I was actually lugging around the ruck and calling merkins, knerkins and squats I cursed my arrogant stupidity. My best hope that morning was that someone would hold my hair when YHC finally worked himself into a frat-boys-have-nothing-on-me bender merlot explosion. [Read More]

Freebird and Frisco Co-Q

Day 4 of Frisco Terror(ible) Week of Qs. One of the skills I have learned is “if you can’t do it, co-Q it”. Thus faced with the prospect of Bounty Hunters being 4th on the list this week and a massive, runnable site I decided to EH the exclusive and sometimes elusive Freebird as a co-Q. Luckily I twisted my ankle a few weeks back getting a ladder out of my garage for him so he feels bad enough to jump in an Q with me. Day 1: The Frisco "Week of Terror(ible) Qs" Kicks Off

So when Red Ryder begged me to Q the Lion’s Den Q I agreed (since I technically owe him a favor for helping me build a gazebo for my M). Then I noticed that there was a free spot open every day of the week. It wasn’t my anniversary and I wasn’t sure I could do it (still am not), but for some reason I found myself filling my name into those open slots. [Read More]

KMA, Cataracts!

Sometimes you show up with your fancy new workout only to find out someone else did it the day before and wrote the exact same backblast you planned to write. Sure you could move forward with a copy and be known as a copy cat. Or you could change it completely which is what I did. So if you read WWW’s BB or were at his workout he actually went back in time and changed his so that it looked like mine a SECOND time. [Read More]

Paging Trike...paging Mr. Trike...

Day 3 of Frisco’s Week of Terror(ible) Qs. Day 1 was terrorible when my ex-friend, WWW, traveled back in time and stole (what was to be) my signature workout and used it at A-Team. When I tried to explain it to the PAX using posters and drawings all I got was rolling eyes. (Who knew Shut-In kept glass eyes in his pocket…) Day 2 was just as bad because after I executed my NEW workout my new nemesis, WWW, went back in time again and made me fat. [Read More]

We all remember our first time...

First off, let me just say how great its been dragging my sorry, out-of-shape 6 out of bed most mornings to go hang out and sweat with a bunch of crazy guys like those reading this right now. The last 3-4 months have been amazing, not only physically, but mentally, emotionally and even dare I say spiritually? (That’s weird) Seriously, thank you all for your leadership every day when I post, not just from the QIC, but also the guys that stick out their hand for a high five when they’re running by or say, “Good work! Rock Webbs Rock?

Arrived at 5:00ish to with my new headlamp to scout out some areas we hadn’t visited in awhile. Surprise, surprise, surprise.

Nothing like taking your phone out of airplane mode at 5:33am to see that “Hey, man, need a favor” text from your favorite jam band loving, stolen truck driving, god of a man Riptide. But that’s what we do, right? Pick a man up when he’s down, take his Q when the M is sick. Being freed to lead means stepping up and doing it. And so, gentlemen and scholars, and Callahan, I arrived at Claymore for the first time ever, ready to do what I do best: bringing the pain and concussive-like symptoms. [Read More]

Claymore EMOM

Headed to Claymore a bit early to scout out a spot to do PU’s. Turns out we got nothin there to hang from so it was time for an audible. Had some fun worked out on the tennis courts but need a bit more daylight so… audible II. 2 Frisco and Skipper enjoyed a morning walk together with heavy back packs, I think it was called something that rhymes with Puck.
