That's Ten Enough

We had 18 PAX gather this morning at Tortoises to celebrate my 4 year F3 anniversary. I’m not sure if many of them were there to support me or if it was the fact that is was pouring rain yesterday and its going to be chilly with light snow tomorrow. 45 degrees with heavy mumblechatter. With 5:30 approaching, we started with the Pledge. Its a great way to start the day, and an even better way to get everyones attention. [Read More]

Gotta Get Back in Time

Well the theme of my recent Qs has been Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V ala Hoppin John, but y’all had to know THIS one was coming. Last year on 1/21, Blowout joined me at Claymore for the least-attended themed Q in F3 history, and we had one heck of a time. When I saw a limited run Q spot open on 1/21 this year… I knew it was time. Gather up, no FNGs, scoop up a CMU, and here we go! [Read More]

Always On Time

13 men and 1 dog showed up to a flagless Claymore, but pledge allegiance to an imaginary flag and got to work. Warm-Up Mosey to the left side of the lot and circle up for various warm-up exercises, including imperial walkers (because we’re in Cary) and excluding hillbillies (because we’re not in Apex). Another great Tuesday night beatdown in the books! YHC and Cauliflower were there early, so we took a little run down DTC to get loosened up. Along the way we met up with Captain Kirk on his bike and had him join us! After the warm up run we all made it back to the start where we welcomed back Freebird! So with the four of us it was soon time to start. [Read More]

The S.S. Schlitz's One hour tour...

As YHC’s quest to complete more of the 2020 Carpex challenge continues, it was time to take a turn at the Phoenix Q. Bond Park is such a large AO, with so many options, I wanted to take the Pax on a tour of some of the typical stops along a Phoenix/SNS beatdown. YHC and the Triplest of Lindy’s for a nice, balmy 3 mile EC run. Here’s what went down: [Read More]

Impromptu Q

YHC was a bit groggy rolling into Claymore, looking forward to a thorough Riptide beatdown to wake up. Site Q fail right off the bat, as Frisco had to abruptly leave town to deal with family health issues and YHC had not acquired the shovel flag. Nonetheless, the PAX all stood in a loose circle looking expectantly for Riptide’s signature truck to come rolling in. Quick look at the Steve shows that it’s 5:45 and everyone is expectantly looking at YHC. [Read More]
