YHC and Largemouth for 5.2 miles at a conversational 7:30 pace. Don’t worry everybody, we figured it all out. Franklin, Badlands & Sooey for a crowd control 5 mile run of their own. 8 socially-distant PAX set out for a traveling warm-up **Warm-UP **Moseying from the flag to the baseball field parking lot we stopped along the way for Good Mornings, Windmill, Steve Earles, SSH, and Mnt. Q Week Day 4: FC

Day 4 of 5 of my Q week was set to be the most challenging (to not fartsack that is), the PAX seemed to be in good spirits considering everything going on in the world. YHC enjoyed seeing a good crowd out there this morning! Warm-up: To start getting our hearts bumping, we took a run around the peanut, with alternating movements including: Karaoke Ass-Kickers High Knees High Skip WU also circled up for GMs, Windmills and Burpees (foreshadowing the future) [Read More]

Q Week: Day 2 FOD

Day 2 of my Q week was a success with the PAX of WCary, giving a good showing given the current situation. Having focused on arms and shoulders the previous day, YHC wanted to give the PAX a well-balanced workout, so today’s beatdown focused elsewhere. However, due to that focus, YHC had some struggle with cadence counting the exercises today (T-Claps to Franklin for sorting it out). Warm Up: Mosey to top of the hill lot. [Read More]

The Great Triumphant Return of Napster, and other February Birthday (not mine) Shenanigans

Does anyone really know how many PAX post at the original weekly convergence known as Shaken Not Stirred? Or is it Vesper? Or is it Insomnia? All YHC knows is you pull into that parking lot off of Maury O’Dell drive, and there are likely to be cars and PAX scattered about. With the rapid growth of Carpex, there was some concern that opening new Wednesday sites could detract from the nostalgic allure of SNS. [Read More]

You Get a Rock, You Get a Rock, EVERYBODY GETS A ROCK!

YHC continued my tour of the West Carpex AOs that started my F3 career with a trip to Field of Dreams. This trip was bound to be a good one with the plethora of choices the Q has at their disposal, and I hope the PAX got exactly what they paid for with their expensive F3 membership. Warm-up: YHC noticed that the PAX were quite happy to see one another this morning, because the mumblechatter was on point to start. [Read More]

Box Jumps for Breakfast

It was another cold morning, but actually felt pretty good. Maybe F3 is making me tougher. Warm-Up Mosey around the school parking lot and circle up for hillbillies (cause we’re in Apex), Sir Fazios, cherry pickers, burpees, monkey humpers and Carolina Dry Docks. The Thang Mosey to the stairs for three rounds of 22’s. Round 1 - Australian mountain climbers and box jumps Round 2 - Irkins and dips Round 3 - Wonder bras and derkins [Read More]

Tributes, Domination, and Baby Bjorn Rock Carriers

So this week, YHC drives past at least two other closer AOs, down Kelly Road to Thomas Brooks park, the site of Field of Dreams. A very expansive site it is, with lots of options to travel. Therefore, we ignore all that extra space and stay within 200 yards of the flag at all times. It seems FOD is trying to take on an SNS feel, with lots of running opportunities that are either EC before the workout, or are done in place of the workout. [Read More]

Just be ready!

Back in 2016, I decided to go to the gym the week after Christmas. Be committed and show up BEFORE all those people that start in January. I was on a mission to be less chubby and more healthy. Spin class two days a week. That was the answer! But Lifetime didn’t offer a morning class on Fridays at the Apex gym. Crimson had been pressuring nagging encouraging me to try his new workout group F3. [Read More]

Welcome back Iron PAX

For YHC’s first Q in 2020, why not make it the premiere 90 minute workout on a Saturday in north west Cary? I decided I wanted to stay on campus and use coupons for the beat down. Then I remembered there were supposed to be cinder blocks hidden somewhere on site and thought of how many of the Iron PAX challenge workouts had used a block so there was my plan. [Read More]
