WWW x 3 and Largemouth 2.0's B-day

Strong showing Wednesday morning for the birth of Largemouth’s 3rd child. I guess by your 3rd C-section you can tell your wife, “Hey babe, I’m gonna go for a run with the guys and I’ll meet you at the hospital!” We’ll see if she’ll cool with that with his 4th or 5th child… Insomnia had 8 in attendance: YHC, Snots, Shut-In, Pet Sounds, Callahan, Hermes, Largemouth and Michelob (Respect) For some reason Snots thought it would be a great combo for YHC to participate in Insomnia for YHC’s first time the week YHC has 6 Q’s… [Read More]

Anniversary Week aka WWW

Water Wings Week began on a clear, cool morning at the infamous A-Team AO. This roughly marks my One Year Anniversary, but since I couldn’t remember the actual date, I’m Qing the whole week for prudence sake. 18 brave HIMs met at the gate while watching Mr Parks and Rec unlock the gate 2 minutes too late for the PAX to drive into the park. 5:45 ticked and YHC lead the PAX to the 2nd parking lot on the right for a little warm-up with SSH, Cotton Pickers and Imperial Walkers. B.O.M.B.S over Koka Booth

6 PAX huddled under the LED lights in the mini parking lot, anxiously awaiting the 5:30 start time. 5 seconds to go time and Flip Flop fires in to make 7. We meet him at his car and we are off….sorta. YHC had not posted at Kryptonite in some time. Little did I know the Greenway and access to Pavilion is current closed. Never the less we circled up in front of the Gates and began warm up [Read More]

Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)

16 Rock Stars came out on a crisp Friday morning to get stronger. Warm-Up Hustle around the pickle to the basketball courts and circle up for side straddle hops, imperical walkers, Sir Fazio arm twirlies (both ways), standard merkins and plank jacks. The Thang Hustle across the soggy soccer field to the rock pile and choose a travelling rock. Oops, Ford dropped his rock, everybody gets 10 penalty burpees OYO. [Read More]

RESPECT Ladders

Pulling into the Senior Center (an apt place to start for RESPECT Week, as so many pointed out - hardy har har), I could tell there was 24K magic in the air. Someone brought a Wal-Mark special fishing rod, an obvious nod to YHC’s fishing prowess. Some PAX were already sweating from Insomnia; some were sweating the impending beatdown they were about to receive; some took the easy way out and Vespered their way out of a beatdown; some rucked because, you know, running sucks and walking’s not enough. A Respect Week Preview

Admittedly I am jumping the gun on Respect week but I will be out of town and feel deep need to get my “experienced” thoughts included in the week’s activities. If fellow Respects allow, suggest setting goal for workout to provide a beat down that will allow the young-ins to share in our daily ritual of stiffness and aches. 18 in total with buzzer beater arrivals from Loom and Flip-Flop, however, this Friday we had “Wednesday light” with Bartman peeling off to show CK Ruck life and the Large heading out for a solo run due to injury (that’s how Large recovers). Halloween Extravaganza (F3 Style)

21 men donned their duds for the most epic beatdown Flirtin’ With Disaster has ever seen on Halloween…..ok, maybe it’s this AO’s first Halloween….but it was still epic. YHC was a bit worried about how many would show up in costume, since not everyone is on GroupMe, but the PAX didn’t disappoint at all! Grown men in full costume gathered at the FWD Shovel Flag to ogle at each other. [Read More]

BOMBS around a Campfire

Ever since it’s gotten so that it stays dark well past 6:30, I haven’t seen many groups venture into the gloom murk pitch blackness that is North Cary Park. To hell with that - this is @F3DangerZone! So I set up a very cute campfire in the field to entertain the troops. After making sure everyone who wanted one had a headlamp, we’re off.
