Four Corner Burnout

It twas a great morning in the downtown part of Apex as (lucky number) 13 pax, including an FNG, showed up for a beatdown! YHC made sure to get there a few minutes ahead of schedule to make sure Google maps was still all it was cracked up to be.. as well as my memory.. So after the disclaimer was given and the pledge was recited, we were off! Warm up: [Read More]

Blottin' the Sasquatch

17 PAX came out for the shadiest CSAUP route this side of New Hampshire. Of the ~12 miles covered, I think maybe a mile was full sun. You have got to love the greenways out here! A few weeks back, YHC saw @F3ENC post on twitter ‘bout their annual Sasquatch CSAUP going virtual. This is an event I know Yogi and Freebird have hit up in the past and raved about. [Read More]

Pre long run, Murph-esque Dora with extra stretching and an attempt at F3 art

It feels as though it’s been a little while since YHC has Qed a workout. There was a little stumbling with order of events, but all in all, I think the PAX received a decent beat down. With what was supposed to be the Tobacco Road 1/2 and full marathons scheduled for this Sunday which is now the new and improved OTB TRM, the original plan was adhered to with no lower body exercises while trying to get the training plan’s 2 miles. Where the f*ck is Biner???

This morning, before we kicked things off, Red Ryder was sharing his feelings with the PAX eagerly awaiting the start of YHC’s beatdown when PBX interrupted with the title exclamation, “Where the F*ck is Biner?” Needless to say, Red Ryder was upset he didn’t get out all his feelings, but everyone’s attention was now solely focused on theories as to what happened to Biner and where he might be? Everyone had their own take on what happened, but eventually it was 0530 and time for the pledge. [Read More]

Burpees, Bears, and Blocks! Oh my!

For my VQ, I thought it best to combine some of my least and therefore most memorable workouts over my last six months in F3. The two Q’s who I got the most from was Banjo and Wahoo. These two Q’s provided the inspiration for burpees and blocks. In order to increase the alliteration in the title of the workout, I did some digging in the Exicon to find an exercise that combined bear crawls and cinder blocks. [Read More]

Your 2020 Dante's Peak Logo Contest Winner!

^ It’s the contest nobody knew existed… whipped this baby up in PowerPoint, Word Art and all… BOOM! Heavy rain the night before left the entire area quite damp. YHC had planned to work around the pond for the beatdown so when I arrived Torpedo and I ran back to make sure it wasn’t underwater. It wasn’t! We did find a good half a dozen HIMs on the pull up bars and joined in for some of the fun. [Read More]

There Were 3

It was a rainy morning in the gloom at Hot for Teacher. 12 PAX showed up expecting to be put through the paces at Camp Frisco…but YHC noted that everyone’s dues were paid in full up to March so a kinder, gentler beatdown was in order. (Camp Frisco motto: “Why breathe boring regular free air when CF can sell you premium air for the same cost plus a minor mark up? [Read More]

2020 Krispy Kreme Challenge

So it doesn’t happen in F3 unless there is a Back Blast. My stomach lining would disagree with that after a dozen donuts. It might even make its own “back blast” all over your shoes. But rules are rules so… This morning 15 HIMs showed up for a pre-race Murph. I was glad when Old Maid read a short piece about Lt. Michael Murphy and the sacrifice he, his team, and the teams who tried to extract them made in that battle. [Read More]

Bad News...

McCants posted last night on slack that he had some bad news. He was down with a bug and needed someone to step up and take his Phoenix Q this morning. Well, it was really bad news for the PAX to give YHC the trifecta to have three Qs in a row to celebrate 3 years of F3. A solid group of 19 PAX showed up at Bond Park to join in the 2nd of 3 Sooey anniversary Qs. [Read More]
