T.GI.F and The Starliner

As advertised, YHC arrived for EC at 5:43 a.m., which consisted of 3 reps of fist-bumps with the fellow PAX, and a quad stretch. After a flawless disclaimer delivered by YHC, including the oft omitted ’no assets’ verbiage, we took off for two laps around Carpex’s original Pickle™ with some painting of the lines sprinkled throughout. It was during the Pickle™ run that YHC learned that my fellow three PAX all stayed up way too late last night. Putting the B in Burpee, and Other B Words

I never know exactly how many PAX are boot-camping and how many are Vespering, but there were 20+ gathered at Bond Park expecting some sort of exercise routine. Do the Pledge and recite the F3 Mission, circle up for SSHs, Sir Fazio forward and back, Seal claps, Steve Earles, Plank Jacks, and CFMs. The Thang Mosey down to the end of Maury O’Dell, hang a right and go to the nicely lit parking lot adjacent to fields 5/6/7. Post X-mas Party hangover cure

Burt said he was going to be there. And he was. No Coney though. So did Flip. And he made it. Barely. Flacco did too… though he regretted it. How How, Jiggly. Viking. YHC. 7 PAX went at it with 12 days. We made it all the way through Day 10 and added on Days 11 and 12 without the bonus. My way to the DangerZone

Team RED DZ - Photo courtesy of Shut-In DangerZone was my first post, on Aug 23rd 2019, having done pretty much nothing active for 10 years. Today was my VQ. Thanks to everyone for your support over the past three months and to those who were able to post at DZ today! I’m fitter in body, mind and spirit thanks to you all. And in this corner...

With the upcoming Haven House Rumble, YHC thought I should try to train at least a little bit for the dance around the squared circle. It was a great morning to show up with a loosely developed plan. Watching a few clips of The One and Only Tony Horton inspired some P90x style exercises. 0545 Circle Up, Mission, Pledge, Disclaimer Warm-Up: a couple of fellowship mosey trips around the pickle with some invigorating butt kickers, high knees, and karaokes. An Ode to Angry Elf

Two years ago today, YHC stumbled out of a slumber to visit Fred G. Bond Park in the heart of Cary. Known prior to that fateful day only as Kyle John Montgomery (save “Daddy” to a couple of kids, and “Skolnick” to a group of college buddies), this sad clown was drawn to a mysterious gathering of men, looking for a good workout…and an adventure. As soon as he jumped out of his car, he was welcomed with a warm yet equally obnoxious, “Hey, what are you doing here? [Read More]

Andrew Dice Claymore

Dodecahedron Of Pain I had been really nervous about the day I was going to be asked to lead a workout. More or less hoping I would just blend into the background with the rest of the PAX. Mainly just because Im not usually a person who likes to be the center of attention, which its a literal requirement during a VQ. But when the guys I am close with decided VQ week was going to be when they did it, I decided to get over my nervousness and I signed up. [Read More]

Exicon ABC

43 in attendance. 3 Ruckers, 16 Bootcampers, bunch of runners including those that ran the Maynard. What a way to start off “hump day”…in the doom and gloom of SNS. I am starting a series called Exicon ABC. We will be using exercises from those three (or sometimes 4) letters of the alphabet until we complete the alphabet. Today was ABC. Warm up Abe Vigoda Alternating shoulder taps in a plank position Annie (Arm circles from a plank position) Thang 1 [Read More]
