Loom Rings The Bells

It was 1955, Oh, I mean 2015 when YHC did his VQ, has it been that long? YHC thought it was not that far back.. oh well, 14 PAX were treated to a body and soul workout, PAX was kind and hardly any mumble chatter related to all the Q’ing errors… YHC will try to remember it is ‘regular’ NOT ‘recover’; so on, encouragement and support all around Start at the Shelter - Disclaimer – Pledge of Allegiance – [Read More]

Better Late Than Never

Eighteen PAX gathered this swampy moonlit morning at Carpex’s original limited-run AO, Tortoises. With the Dark of All Helmets fan club gathering happening over at SNS, YHC was very pleased with the turnout. Disco Duck and Frisco were already doing some EC, alternating intervals runs and pull-ups. YHC started to caution them that they might regret that later, but decided they would find out soon enough. No FNGs, but practice makes perfect, so let’s run through the disclaimer anyway. [Read More]

A stroll around the block

An even dozen found their way to the lower parking lot this morning which seems to be the only place we can start Hells Bells now. The top lot is always locked. No Pax were late so Red Ryder was disappointed we didn’t start with burpees. Warm-up – Everyone picked up a traveling bell and moseyed over the the parking lot. Warmed up with SSH, Good Mornings, calf stretch, and followed by sir fazio forward and backward. [Read More]

It wasn’t a Murph

After stressing out for a few weeks about my first Q, it’s now Monday. I ping Peeping Tom, my cousin who EH’d me one year ago, to get some feedback on my plan. Grief is delivered, something about how I’m asking him about this the day before I’m supposed to Q. I attempt to correct him, stating I’m fine, I’ll have all day Tuesday to nail things down. Additional grief is exchanged about how I’ve actually only got 10 hours before the Q. [Read More]

Got it bad, got it bad, got it bad...

17 PAX loaded up on the bus and came out to Olive Chapel Elementary to kick off the hard launch of the new Apex AO “Hot For Teacher”. YHC had the Q. Tunes were rockin’ and the two co-site-Q’s long hair was flowing in the breeze. It almost looked natural on Cataracts….almost. 0530 – Typical F3 spiel. Modify as necessary. And seriously - don’t sue us..we only own a beatup Ford Econoline van with no A/C and 400K miles, our knockoff Stratocaster electric guitars and a busted amp that doesnt even go up to “11”. Oops

11 pax came for the beatdown. 4 for the first time to Claymore. 1 site Q was there (Frisco was not the one.) TCLAPS for Earhart making his way back out after a scare with his digestive system (and praises!) Sometimes you plan a workout and then you get to the site and realize there are 2-3 more tennis courts than you thought there were. Oops! I intended to keeps our bodies moving for 45 mins, and we did, but in doing so maybe we did too many miles. [Read More]

The Brown-Out Badge

When: July 6th 2019 QIC: Earhart The PAX: Parker, Banjo, Theismann, Ezekiel, Sub, Biner, Pierogi YHC Earhart 8 HIM gather in the warm, humid morning for an Earhart beatdown at the Green Mile. Sub comes rolling in after running something like 10 miles in 20 minutes. And he was not even gassed. All gathered, we mosey down the lower parking lot, mixing in butt kickers, high knees, and shuffles for some variety before we circle up for: [Read More]

The Freedom Trail July 4th Convergence

@Qwerty, @Red Ryder and YHC met last week to plan the 2019 July 4th Convergence hoping to create something special. Our goal was to keep the PAX together in order to preserve fellowship and maybe a few exercises in-between. The disclaimer was disclaimed, the F3 Mission was delivered and Whitney Houston’s Star Spangled Banner put the PAX in a USA state of mind that included a Fly Over courtesy of Delta. [Read More]

The concrete doesn't actually obliterate your hands

Many of you know that I sometimes go lift after F3. I learned several months ago that doing an EC Run, posting for a beatdown, and then going to the gym usually just leads to a half-assed lifting session, and I stopped doing that. Well, last night I wasn’t thinking clearly and set my alarm for the EC Run knowing I was going to lift after. So,….I really just cheated myself out for 30 minutes of sleep this morning, and I was having some fantastic dreams fishing in Alaska. [Read More]
