Hundreds on Hundreds

Twas a beautiful morning at FWD as 18 pax gathered for a beatdown. YHC has made it a goal to Q a lot more this year, so this was the first of several more to come! So, after the disclaimer and the F3 mission statement was given to our FNG, we recited the Pledge of Allegiance and were off. Warmup: After running around to the far part of the parking lot, we circled up for: [Read More]

Hell's Bells Baseball

Inspiration for this workout came from the exicon. Wahoo once said that F3 is like recess, and I really enjoyed the competitive nature of F3 baseball. I really wanted something that would keep our heart rate up, but allow bruisers to participate. When Water Wings and Disco Duck requested a 7th inning stretch, I knew this was a good workout. Started with a quick 1/4 mile mosey and then moved into Warm Up [Read More]

Eagle Flyover at Our Flag

No FNGs present, a warm-welcome to all, Respects to our Great Flag, and off we went with Bacon and Blimps in the air. A quiet group… Warm up runs are just that - for warm ups. But why not add stuff in? High Knees with Burpees were called in segments on the way to stretching. Minor grumbling already. This was a good sign. WARM UP: SSHs, High Plank J-Los, and GMs were called but… [Read More]

It’s Raining Men—Blame Parker

So a few weeks back there was a pop-up FIA/F3 AO for Valentine’s Day c/o: Red Ryder and his M. It was a pleasant surprise since the standard orders I have from Shut In (and Parker, and Red Ryder, and Smokey, and Snots, and even a few guys that aren’t married) are: “Frisco, you don’t talk to my wife, you don’t look at my wife, you don’t even breathe the same air. Frog Weather

Last night the forecast called for Duck Weather: 50 degrees, 100% chance of rain, and 10+ mph winds. Sadly when YHC arrived Carpex’s newest Wednesday AO, it was Frog Weather: no rain and no winds, just a bunch of puddles. Warm-Up Mosey through the shopping center to a side lot and circle up for imperial walkers, cherry pickers, Sir Fazios, copperhead squats and copperhead merkins. Then Crimson led us in the longest one count Good Morning ever. [Read More]

A is for Anniversary

So the goal this week was to do 6 Qs in 6 days to mark my one year anniversary with F3, which will officially be this Saturday 2/22 (and no, I am not running the Mayhem, not running a Maynard, and not rucking one either). And while my work plans are taking me down to Wilmington later this week, I still had the honor of leading a fine group of men this morning for a ruck-inspired boot camp. [Read More]

Dang Near Purrfect Weather For The Duckman

February, sixty degrees, light rain, light wind, glorious conditions for a downtown Apex beatdown. Warm-Up Mosey across the tracks and over to the Apex United Methodist Church courtyard and circle up for hillbillies, Sir Fazios, cherry pickers and copperhead squats. The Thang 15 Carolina dry docks, 15 monkey humpers, 15 LBCs, take an abbreviated lap around the church, repeato dropping the count by one each round. Mosey back across the tracks to the front of Apex Baptist Church and count of into 1s and 2s. [Read More]

Horseshoes

Overnight storms left the Ritter Park area wet and slippery, let’s see if we can make it through the beatdown with no injuries. Warm-Up Mosey across Kildaire Farm Road to the Retail Section and circle up for Good Mornings, imperial walkers, Sir Fazios, copperhead squats, copperhead merkins and three slippery mountain climbers. The Thang Mosey down to the greenway, through the tunnel and up to the top of the ramp. The lucky number of nails in a horseshoe is seven, so we’ll make seven horseshoes. [Read More]

There Were 3

It was a rainy morning in the gloom at Hot for Teacher. 12 PAX showed up expecting to be put through the paces at Camp Frisco…but YHC noted that everyone’s dues were paid in full up to March so a kinder, gentler beatdown was in order. (Camp Frisco motto: “Why breathe boring regular free air when CF can sell you premium air for the same cost plus a minor mark up? [Read More]
