Stares

YHC was looking forward to some heavy rain this morning, unfortunately it held off. The rain wasn’t there, but Peirogi was, and almost on time. The Thang Mosey over to the building with the stairs and count off 1s and 2s. A few rounds of one group climbing the stairs while the other group alternates hand release merkins and monkey humpers. The Sincerest Form

A bunch of Apex dudes invaded South Cary looking for a beatin'. Warm-Up Mosey around t the back lot and circle up for counting off 1s and 2s. One group does AMRAP warm-up exercises while the other group runs around the balls. Watch out, they get really tight at the end. Imperial walkers, arm circles, mountain climbers and good mornings. A Tour of Downtown Cary

It was a lovely, cool, sunny morning in the heart of Cary. So cool that HGTV flirted with the idea of long sleeves…on tank top Thursday. The cheek! A stern look from Burt brought him to heel. Burt’s briefcase of tanks was almost not needed, but alas, a rucker and a Raleigh guy needed the dressing room. The Q was delayed 30 seconds as Boucher put on a fashion show. YHC mumbled something about “This is F3, don’t get hurt” and we did the Pledge of Allegiance. Learning Portuguese

Big crowd this morning, fortunately there were more bells than pax. Two or three pax with an EC run, plus Kwik Stop for EC tire flippin'. The Thang Tabata, 20 seconds of work, 10 seconds of rest, four rounds, four sets, four exercises, with a lap between each round. [Read More]

¡Three FNGos!

AO: Phoenix Workout Date: 06/12/21 YHC has posted Phoenix (or maybe it was Werewolf), but it has obviously been a while. The starting parking lot was a lot smaller than I remembered and there were a large number of PAX, including three FNGs. Time to start modifying the plan. Warm Up: State the mission, check for FNGs (3), and give the disclaimer Side Straddle Hop x20 In Cadence (IC) Good Morning x5 IC [Read More]

Conquering the Beast

Serious storms overnight, but a gap in the rain from 530 to 7 made for a great morning to workout. For my 6th anniversary, 6x6x6 (or the Beast) seemed appropriate, but I wanted to mix it up. We made 36 stops throughout Down Town Cary, and performed series’ of 6 exercises at each (sometimes throwing in 2 exercises at the stops) If you want to know what we did (sort of), see the image. Flirtin' With High Tempo

AO: Flirtin’ With Disaster Workout Date: 06/01/21 YHC was looking to mix things up with a set of Number of the Beast (lifted from Jimmer’s Ambassador Q), but I couldn’t find a good area with six clearly defined stations. I did check out the shopping center parking lot on my prerun, but ultimately I couldn’t get over how well the Flirtin’ With Disaster parking lot was set up for 7-11s. [Read More]

Garbage Plate

13 pax weren’t about to let a little rain stop us from enjoying this beautiful morning. Warm-Up Mosey to the end of the lot and circle up for daisy pickers, hillbillies, Sir Fazios, copperhead merkins, copperhead squats and control freak good mornings. The Thang Mosey from the south entrance to the north entrance with two merkins at each light pole. Continue our mosey to the big, beautiful soccer field. Using only half the field mosey to each corner for ten squats, with a return to the center for three burpees between corners. [Read More]

You Can't Spell Burpee Without Bob Seger

Another moist morning in Carpex, and Open Concept has brought us an FNG named Tom. Give him the disclaimer, turn on some Bob Seger and let’s get started. Warm-Up It’s Tin2Iron and we can’t mosey, so circle up and do five burpees to reduce the chatter, Sir Fazios, more burpees to welcome late arrival Charmin, imperial walkers, cherry pickers, copperhead merkins and squats, and One Big Crimson Good Morning. The Thang Grab a coupon and line up at the first island for 11’s, coupon curls while walking down to the next island for squats, overhead presses while walking back for rows. [Read More]
