#F3MentalBattle

37 shakers and vesperers came in to the gloom on special day across F3 Nation, a day where we set aside some time during COT to talk about mental health. But first we have to squeeze 45 minutes of pain into 35 minutes. To help us out, and to illustrate a point, we’re taking one of the Rolling Stone coupons with us, a solid, sturdy log, large and heavy enough that it requires two PAX to carry it. [Read More]

World's Best 11s

YHC arose at 04:50 with great anticipation of Q’ing a site not visited as often as it should by us Apexians. FWD has quite a signature structure - the bridge over US 1. With the weather appropriately gloomy, 13 lucky PAX gathered at the flag to get the disclaimer and two laps around the tiny pickle. Warm Up SSHs, Cotton Pickers, Steve Earles, Good Mornings, Moroccan Night Clubs, Control Freak Merkins, and 5 burpees OYO. [Read More]

Just in Time Training

I still don’t wear a watch during these workouts. While it’s always good to see Biner, unless he’s Qing of course (then you just have to channel your inner Spartan warrior), he provided the necessary time checks along the way during this particularly time sensitive workout. It was only time sensitive in that we were traveling a long way from the flag and everyone likes arrive home on time. 17 showed, 2 kept Sooey company as he continues his recovery walks, so 14 of launch for a trip around the Apex Lake. Quando Quando Quando

Hermes 3rd f3aversary. Danger Zone. A perfect 43 degrees. Full moon. What’s not to love? 13 of the strongest ever to grace the Carpex gloom showed up to keep Danger Zone great. Former site Qs such as Burt, Largemouth, and Callahan were not among them. Warmup 1½ times around the original pickle and circle up for an arm circle variety pack - regular, overhead, out front. Mumblechatter may have been at an all-time high at this point. [Read More]

Kotters, Crimson

A lot of chatter the night before about the amount of chatter coming YHC’s way this morning. Had a nice little vanilla workout planned, but the return of our brother Crimson pulled big crowd, and most of them are big talkers. Modify as needed has a new meaning. Warm-Up Mosey over to the church entrance and circle up for side straddle hops, hillbillies (cause we’re in Apex), Sir Fazios and cotton pickers. [Read More]

PG Rated

A I happened to check Slack at around 9:30PM Saturday night and notice a Riptide post looking for a co-Q for Phoenix Saturday morning. I jumped on and decided to help Rip make his daughter’s Soccer game for which Hermès never stopped talking about for 30 min. Speaking of Hermès, many were happy they left the 2.0’s at home cause old Hermz was in rare but normal form. He did apologize during the prayer LOL! [Read More]

Start Late, Finish Early

4am. 10 month old is up and Daddy Dooty begins. Roughly 510, YHC sneeks out of nursery, dresses and hits the door in hopes to make the 520 pre run. As I come flying in, I see an empty parking lot. Luckily, Denali arrives a few min later and we take off on a leisurely stroll through Cary’s finest back roads. 542, we both realize we are going to be late getting back. [Read More]

Twas a starry night in the gloom which was ideal to bring on some Thunderstruck!

Date: 3/18/2019 QIC: WWW AO: A Team PAX: 15 For some reason, Sky Q forgot to turn on the heater. Albeit being a crisp / brisk morning, it was a blessing to be out there leading the PAX in the workout. Sooey graced us with his presence to get his walk in. Sooey is da Man because he did not wait long to get back out in the gloom. There is always one or two PAX that would not mind taking a walk with him. [Read More]

Just Getting Started!

After some debate on which parking lot we should circle up in we stuck with the standard operating procedure for SWW. After a delivery of the disclosures to our FNG we moseyed over to the back parking lot for some warm-up. SSH x 20 Sir Fazio Forward x 11 Sir Fazio Backward x 11 Seal Clap x 11 Merkins x 15 Calf Stretch Thang 1 Next, YHC had the PAX mosey to the Baseball Field and line up facing the outfield/infield from the 3rd base line. A Beautiful Mind

It was a beautiful morning for work out that scored a 9/10 on the Cataract’s Scale of Workouts. I am truly humbled by that score and will strive for the perfect score soon. 25 HIMs showed up for a fun time at the Peak of Good Living’s best down town park. When I start thinking about the workouts I want to put together, the stream of thoughts that sends me down these random paths of connections. [Read More]
