11/21 2.4 mile string of pearl

19 pax for a 2.4 mile loop stopping at about 5 spots for some pain stations. Joe Smith led us for some Homer to Marge work at the LDS parking lot. We did some pull ups at the playground, a 10 count down the line inverted sunrise over US1, we finished with some one-arm merkins at the flag. Great work men! Dice gave us some great guidance on what F3 means to him. [Read More]

Flirtin With Respect

November 7th 2017 QIC Fluoride The Pax: Ollie, Sosa, Dice, Oofta, Saban, Kyrie, Lite Brite, Chanticleer, Titanic, Mufasa, WKRP, Term Paper, Whorley, Joe Smith, Hermes, Wonder Bread. It was a perfect morning at Marla Dorrell park as I rolled in for yet another beat down with my fellow pax. As I walked up I noticed Hermes seated in a lawn chair donning a straw hat and reading the paper. He said he was waiting to show me the add for Sprigmoor Retirement home, thought I might be interested. [Read More]

PRISONER RUN

17 PAX were led through the mean streets of Cary at B.O. YHC with the Q, a virgin one at that. With temps above 60, Hank Top Thursday was in full effect. RESPECT BURT graced us with his presence, along with his bag of gently used hanks. Shirts were changed and we were off. Warm Up: Mosey down Waldo, for an extended jog to the main circle at Fidelity. Butt Kickers and High Knees were added to the mosey to ensure all PAX were limber for the HALF special…more to come SSH, Cotton Pickers, Standard Merkins…. Halloween Extravaganza (F3 Style)

21 men donned their duds for the most epic beatdown Flirtin’ With Disaster has ever seen on Halloween…..ok, maybe it’s this AO’s first Halloween….but it was still epic. YHC was a bit worried about how many would show up in costume, since not everyone is on GroupMe, but the PAX didn’t disappoint at all! Grown men in full costume gathered at the FWD Shovel Flag to ogle at each other. [Read More]

3 Hills

The inspiration for the workout today at Phoenix came from reflecting on the hill of Calvary on which Christ persevered and shed His blood for us on the cross. We took on three hills at Phoenix, and I asked the PAX to think of Him and His sacrifice as they persevered this morning. It was a great time. Warmup: One FNG in attendance invited by Malpractice, so gave the disclaimer and then we were off for a little jog through Bond Park to another parking lot. [Read More]

Christmas Came Early

BB 15 HIM joined YHC on a crisp, cool NC fall morning at the flaming chicken. I recommended beforehand, that anyone not wanting to run far and work hard, should stay home. These men came out on purpose. Proud of you guys. Today, we learned about teamwork and, in particular, team communication. When you run a trail in the gloom that’s littered with roots, stumps, spiderwebs, and uneven bridges, you need to work as a unit. [Read More]

FIA, Pain Tubes, and Donkey Kicks

This was my second Q at BO and I had regrets from my first. Namely, Sputnik taking a fall and breaking his wrist. To my surprise Sputnik was there this morning. Wonder if he know I had the Q. Anyway, I completed the disclaimer for 3 FNGs and told everyone to not get hurt and we were off! Warmup Jog to the downtown circle Side Straddle Hop 15 IC Good Mornings 10 IC Imperial Walkers 15 IC FiA weekly challenge. [Read More]

Autumn Arrives

YHC was excited for my first Q at Flirtin’ With Disaster and arrived early to scope things out. Some plans had to change when I realized how incredibly dark the park is. And after what seemed like two weeks of sauna like weather it finally starsted to feel like October. I may have been the only one out there who prefers the sauna like conditions. Warm-up - Mosey over to the park parking lot and take an extra lap just to get the blood flowing, followed by side straddle hops, imperial walkers, merkins and plank jacks. [Read More]

No Mercy

13 HIM came out to A-Team just 48 hours after the CSAUP Odyssey seeking no mercy, and getting none. Cheddar-Bo showed up to unlock the gate as the PAX were gathering, but YHC made the call to stay where we were. Warm-Up - Mosey over to the parking lot next to the big hill for some SSH, imperial walkers, plank jacks, merkins, and possibly the slowest version of Good Morning in Carpex history. [Read More]
