Chillin' and cuttin'

The weather has shifted and the PAX are taking notice. There were some long sleeves, some who were envious of long sleeves and others who don’t know where their long sleeves are. A healthy EC crew returned just a few minutes before ME go time…Largemouth came in sprinting, which either means he was setting a new land speed record or was sending a message to the Q that whatever he had planned wasn’t going to be adequate. Hemlock Bluffs Blair Witch

Several for extra credit, and 20 were there for the main event. No respects. We ran down the trail past the SWW turn and then crossed the creek into the woods and onto the Hemlock Bluffs trail. We ran all the trails in Hemlock Bluffs (well, almost all). Then we ran home. We did some push ups and squats and things along the way while waiting for the 6 to catch up. [Read More]

A Well Balanced Beatdown

The Green Mile is a great location to meet up in the gloom and workout. Though, with it being one of the longest, I felt it could be one of the more challenging bootcamps to lead, especially when the factor of heat is brought into the equation. So YHC considered it a great honor to come out and Q it, and one that I took very seriously. The weather started out very nice, and stayed nice really through the entire time! [Read More]

Modified As Necessary

YHC signed up over a week ago to Q Slippery When Wet and had my greatest Q to date, planned…then Thursday happened. A slight miscalculation on the cruiser bike sent me flying. A primarily upper body workout quickly transitioned to an all leg workout less than 15 hours from launch. Moving on….H.D. Ritter Park was open for business, the ECers came in, we get started with the disclaimer (most of it, I think) because there is an FNG present, the pledge was pledged and 19 of us took off for some new parking lots (for me, at least) on Crescent Green Drive. Back-in-Bounty Hunters

Prologue: A couple months ago, the Bounty Hunters shirt went up for sale. I’m both a Star Wars and F3 nerd, so I was all in, but I felt like I shouldn’t wear the shirt of a Carpex AO where I’d never posted. Since I’m solo Site-Qing at Back in Black right now, I needed a flag at Koka Booth, so that I could head to Bounty Hunters and check that box. [Read More]

No Koozie = Hot Beer

Last night I dreamed of Q’ing FMJ and receiving a custom F3 FMJ koozie……like a badge of honor! So cool! Instead, I got shafted just like Mark Gottfried shafted the Wuffpack. I got shafted by the Nantan Emeritus, now demoted to FMJ Site-Q, Ma Pythonless Bell. Def a low point in my life. But sheeeiiiit, I drink my Brooksweisers fast enough, so don’t need your Koozie Ma Bell! I bet the other real Site-Q, Orphan, woulda remembered tho! [Read More]

Pelotoned

QIC: Riptide. Big crowd for a muggy Riptide Q. Just as we’re about to launch, a car screams into the parking lot. It’s the triumphant return of Joe Smith. Mosey to Koka Booth parking lot for the warm up. Mosey to the rock pile, partner up, and grab a rock. Mosey to American Tower. Thing 1: Partner rock work. Partner 1 stays with the rock for 8-step rock-your-body. Partner 2 runs up the American Tower hill, does 2 burpees, runs down the hill, crawl-bears back up the hill, 2 starjumps, runs back.
