F3 Dads - Pierogi & Co edition

Will keep this brief as YHC wants to get back to enjoying his Saturday but had to get this down, ASAP. Thank you all for the awesome morning today. I loved it, my kids loved it and I hope all of you did as well. Boone and Rosie have been wanting to Q for months and am glad we finally did. It’s awesome to think that when we first came out, Rosie didn’t want to even say her name at COT and now she’s out there throwing down a beatdown. [Read More]

WE READY

AO: Slippery When Wet QIC: Staubach It was an honor to do my VQ with this great group of men. I am very appreciative for F3 and all that is has done for me in my life. Thanks to @bluewater for getting me out there last June. Here is my VQ backblast: It was pretty nice, about 40 degrees and a little damp. My nerves were high as I headed out for my VQ. [Read More]

The Dutch Skater

The call went out the night before for an EC run at 0500 and the following HIM showed up: Michelob, Chanticleer, Largemouth, Snots, Sub and YHC. Four miles later and with just 1 minute to spare before the bell rang at 0530, YHC asked for FNGs, heard no response and Moseyed to the other side of the school. On the way we enjoyed some High Knees, Butt Kickers and Karaoke. [Read More]

As you wish*

Well, a day passed, and so did a year. First post and Q of the new age, at the greatest AO in Downtown Apex on a Thursday morning. Tossed the notion of an EC run out there, and I was joined by the Site Q in training, Sub, and the craziest man in Carpex right now, @djvtec (who has just signed on as the sixth man, on the 6-man 2019 BRR team, aptly named F3 Carpex Pick up the Six (TM) (R). Plan B. Think anyone noticed?

YHC signed up to Q arguably the toughest of CARPEx AO’s last week and immediately set to thinking about what to bring to the PAX. Pullups? Not at this sprawling hey pull-up-bar lacking site. Celebration Merkins? Ditto no… although the big shelter has plenty, there’s just not that much room? Compass Merkins? There’s a thought. But one of my fave’s are the baseball fields, providing an nice setting for low-mileage beatdowns. [Read More]

Blocks + Rain = Pain

After posting several times with our fine F3 brothers in Hickory, NC this fall, YHC came to appreciate the versatile, yet potentially lethal concrete masonry unit (CMU aka “cinder block”) in a workout. Call it an implement, a coupon, whatever you’d like…they’re 38 pounds of jagged edged concrete. After a quick run to Lowes’, where CMU’s can be found for under $2 a piece, YHC decided to create a morning around them. [Read More]
