This is the part of the workout where the Q posts a BB......5 PENALTY BURPEES

40 years ago today, Mr and Mrs Puryear experienced that miracle of life that is childbirth, and brought into this world a bouncing baby McCants…….Who would have thought that momentous event 14,600 days ago would have a chaos theory affect, a RIP-ple if you will, on 7/19/2018 and completely change the day for 16 HIM’s who chose to post at the finest AO in NW Cary on a Thursday morning. As the clock approached 0545 only five faces were looking back at me, but they were the faces of absolute STUDS who were expecting a thorough beatdown, and YHC was prepared to deliver. Let’s get after it! Warm-Up Lap around the lot and circle up for side straddle hops, imperial walkers, plank jacks, mountain climbers and standard merkins. The Village(s of Apex)

Note: Orphan and Garfield were the co-Q’s for this workout, YHC is just posting the backblast for them. Goal M. Night Shyamalan directed a sleeper movie in 2004 called “The Village.” It was about a group of people who started a new society in the woods, intentionally shunning modern technology to be sheltered from current times. They were escaping the mistakes of their past to start anew, but there was no escaping the pure adrenaline caused from this little jaunt, tour, and beatdown around a neighborhood in Apex. It was good to Q at ol’ FOD this morning - had been a while. A strong crowd of 28 gathered - including Kilmer in a Cabriolet (back in my day - only sorority girls drove those)….. hmmm. Oh well - follow me - YHC said softly and started running up the parking lot through the dark path and up the road to the mailbox. Once there, we circled up for GM x18, IW x 14, HB x 12, SF Arm Circles - 10 each way, 10 seal claps and 10 overhead claps. [Read More]

Back to school

YHC picked up the Q for July the 5th as a replacement for missing my birthday Q a few weeks back due to IR. I did not account for the post 4th of July hangover being fully present. Never mind, great way to start the morning. Expecting a light crowd, pleasantly surprised to see 12 other HIMs show up (14 total counting YHC and of course my side kick). At 5:45 sharp, we did a warm up jog around the short loop back to the skate park for warm up. [Read More]

Great Day for some volunteer work at TCP Sawgrass

YHC was a little worried about Sunday’s community event because the sky was falling all day Saturday. This guy does not do yard work in the rain. However, Our good Lord shines down and the rain broke. The Weather Channel forecasted 0% chance of rain with partly sunny forecast and mild temperature. Sunday was going to be a great day for volunteers to mow some grass for The Carying Place. 5 solid HIMs made their appearance. [Read More]
