Mexican Slayride*

It snuck up on me, but my 6-year anniversary of my first post is 6/15. I first posted at A-Team, at the urging of Hotspot, way back in 2015. You know he can be convincing… Crazy busy schedule these last few days, with 2.0 Zip Drive wrapping up his high school career, and all the celebrations that signal the end of one phase, and the beginning of another. But I saw that A-Team was Q-less, and, even with all the crazy in my life right now, could NOT pass up a chance to see if I could pull off another themed Q there. [Read More]

You Can't Spell Burpee Without Bob Seger

Another moist morning in Carpex, and Open Concept has brought us an FNG named Tom. Give him the disclaimer, turn on some Bob Seger and let’s get started. Warm-Up It’s Tin2Iron and we can’t mosey, so circle up and do five burpees to reduce the chatter, Sir Fazios, more burpees to welcome late arrival Charmin, imperial walkers, cherry pickers, copperhead merkins and squats, and One Big Crimson Good Morning. The Thang Grab a coupon and line up at the first island for 11’s, coupon curls while walking down to the next island for squats, overhead presses while walking back for rows. [Read More]

Five Alive

No better way to kick off National Buttermilk Biscuit Day than in the gloom with my brothers. Warm-Up Mosey to the front of the school and circle up for imperial walkers, Sir Fazios, daisy pickers, copperhead merkins, copperhead squats and control freak Good Mornings. The Thang Mosey to the bottom of the hill next to the parking deck for Five Alive. Five rounds of 5 burpees, 10 merkins, 15 squats, 20 dry docks, 25 LBCs with a quick trip up and down the hill. Will You Call My Name

2 1/2 years ago Pickles approached me with an idea to start a second limited run AO in Carpex. I was months behind on my membership dues but Pickles promised that he could “fix it” with the Leadership if I became a co-Site Q and started paying him directly in unmarked $10s and $20s (privilege of him being the Dues Collector, I guess). At first, I was worried. I was fairly new to F3 and unlike Mama’s Boy people actually liked me after their first post with me. [Read More]

Cinco de Mayo de Sucko

Goal: Have fun and do some stupid stuff. The stupid stuff started early: The first thing that you should do when you Q is to show up early. YHC made the site Q’s anxious by showing up at 5:29ish - it all started El Crappo. Disclaimer in broken Spanish at 5:31: Buenos dia hermanos Este esse effe tres FNG? No? OK. Yo no es professionale Y yo no tengo dinero [Read More]

Clock n' Bells, In Cadence

Beautiful 50-ish degree Monday morning for Hell’s Bells and celebrating YHC’s 4th year in F3. Disco Duck is there early and helps get the bells out because we’re going to need them. Eleven men ready to go, including Crimson, sans-driver. We circle up… no, wait, let’s say the pledge first. Now circle up for our warm-up, everything in 4-count cadence: 5 Good Mornings 10 Sir Fazios 10 Fazio Sirs 10 Imperial Walkers 10 Cherry Pickers 10 Standard Merkins Thang 1: Count off into 4 groups. A-Team GBBs!

Super excited to Q at A-Team this morning – it’s one of my favorite sites and is always loaded with High Impact Men. Speaking of HIM, @petsounds was there! So great to see him back in the gloom! Bootcamp-wise, I felt like trying something new – here’s what went down…. 15 total pax, 9 bootcampers, the remainers bruising/walking + 4 legged Manny! Pledge of course! Then mosey straight into the park to the top of the powerline hill for warm-up: good morning, windmill, hill-billy, mtn climbers, merkins, etc. [Read More]

Records are meant to be broken

As YHC has not attending a workout at Claymore more than a handful of times, he along with One Direction forgot its a 5:45 start. That being said a few warm up laps around parking lot killed the extra time. Beginning at 5:45, I a call for FNGS was made with no reply. With no flag in site.. we mozy’d pickle as then a site-q arrived with a flag. Stopped for pledge and then continued to other parking lot for warmups [Read More]

Don’t be a pressure cooker ... learn to release the ANGER so you don’t go #ao-sat-offtherails.

Date: 3/6/2021 I really did not have a theme for this workout until I had some fellowship/bruiser time with my boy Crimson. It is amazing how simple but yet powerful a question could be to help a Brother release some weight off their chest. That question is, “How is life treating you?” When a Brother is ready to unload, it is time to put on the listening ear. It’s your time to shine and comfort a Brother in their time of need. Rain? What rain?

Even though YHC and the shield lock had already done a couple miles EC run and were fully soaked, it seemed like a waste not to use the parking garage the AO provides for some cover from the elements. So that’s where we headed. Here’s what all went down: Warmup: No FNGs so I stumbled through the mission statement because it was being recorded for our Q of Culture and then recited the pledge before heading off to the parking garage on the other side of the school.
