YHC pulled up to your neighborhood Food Lion with windshield whippers a’whipping thinking, “this could suck.” But, alas the rain broke and a top-notch Monday was underway. The #MeowMile was converted to the #DiscoDash as a pair of feathered felines headed towards the premiere AO in Apex on a Monday at 0545. Admittedly I am jumping the gun on Respect week but I will be out of town and feel deep need to get my “experienced” thoughts included in the week’s activities. 17 PAX were led through the mean streets of Cary at B.O. YHC with the Q, a virgin one at that. With temps above 60, Hank Top Thursday was in full effect. RESPECT BURT graced us with his presence, along with his bag of gently used hanks. Shirts were changed and we were off. Warm Up: Mosey down Waldo, for an extended jog to the main circle at Fidelity. How quickly things change. Last week, Gloom temperatures were in the 70’s and humid. This morning the PAX broke out the long sleeves and sweatshirts (some of them, anyway) for temps starting with a “4.” And that’s Freedom degrees, not in some commie temperature. Friday mornings are made for Danger Zone, the original Cary AO. 73 degrees, humid, slightly overcast. Nice crowd this morning which formed while I placed the cones on the soccer field. 24 dudes, inlcuding one FNG (more on that later), PigPen and his 2.0…7 year old Boom from Raleigh and Big Bird, Viking and Puck also from Raleigh. One current site Q and two old site Q’s on hand. Caught up PigPen and Boom at the Forge this week when I hung with Chinese Downhill, Half, BigBird, Viking and Puck…promoted CarPex (however not like Hello Kitty and Shut In) and they made the trip to DZ.
