PRISONER RUN

17 PAX were led through the mean streets of Cary at B.O. YHC with the Q, a virgin one at that. With temps above 60, Hank Top Thursday was in full effect. RESPECT BURT graced us with his presence, along with his bag of gently used hanks. Shirts were changed and we were off. Warm Up: Mosey down Waldo, for an extended jog to the main circle at Fidelity. Butt Kickers and High Knees were added to the mosey to ensure all PAX were limber for the HALF special…more to come SSH, Cotton Pickers, Standard Merkins…. put that mumble chatter aside and commit to something

November 1st, 2017 One goal, and only one goal- stop the mumble chatter. Is that really a good goal, or is that a selfish request? Either way, I am the Q and took on the challenge. Luckily we had a FNG (welcome Tubeless and thanks Wrangler for bringing him out) which would inspire Burt to get warmed up. What really got Burt going was seeing the duct tape holding my shoes together. Halloween Extravaganza (F3 Style)

21 men donned their duds for the most epic beatdown Flirtin’ With Disaster has ever seen on Halloween…..ok, maybe it’s this AO’s first Halloween….but it was still epic. YHC was a bit worried about how many would show up in costume, since not everyone is on GroupMe, but the PAX didn’t disappoint at all! Grown men in full costume gathered at the FWD Shovel Flag to ogle at each other. [Read More]

Chopping and Running

I knew my trail run race was coming up but I was a bit surprised to find out I signed up to Q the day before it. Oh well, guess its good and I can not kill my legs with 100 squats or something. Oh and then Hello Kitty asked to do the meow mile so it was a good warm up. Meow Mile (2 miles): Hello Kitty, CK, Shut In, Ma Bell, and Chanticleer [Read More]

#Don'tNameYourself

BB YHC hails from Generation X. Gen X?! We tried to name ourselves…colossal failure. Remember when George Costanza tried to name himself, “T-Bone?” Bad idea, “Co Co the Monkey.” Kobe, “The Black Mamba?” Really?! We received a key reminder today at FWD - #Don’tNameYourself. Let’s start that trending… Oh - we also learned about teamwork. EveryTHANG we did today hinged upon working together and cheering on our teammates. We are better together. [Read More]

BOMBS around a Campfire

Ever since it’s gotten so that it stays dark well past 6:30, I haven’t seen many groups venture into the gloom murk pitch blackness that is North Cary Park. To hell with that - this is @F3DangerZone! So I set up a very cute campfire in the field to entertain the troops. After making sure everyone who wanted one had a headlamp, we’re off. FIA, Pain Tubes, and Donkey Kicks

This was my second Q at BO and I had regrets from my first. Namely, Sputnik taking a fall and breaking his wrist. To my surprise Sputnik was there this morning. Wonder if he know I had the Q. Anyway, I completed the disclaimer for 3 FNGs and told everyone to not get hurt and we were off! Warmup Jog to the downtown circle Side Straddle Hop 15 IC Good Mornings 10 IC Imperial Walkers 15 IC FiA weekly challenge. [Read More]

How quickly..

How quickly things change. Last week, Gloom temperatures were in the 70’s and humid. This morning the PAX broke out the long sleeves and sweatshirts (some of them, anyway) for temps starting with a “4.” And that’s Freedom degrees, not in some commie temperature. The Tortoises crew had made the journey north in order to partake of the 2nd/3rdF after the workout (more on this later), so go time was even more of a goat rodeo than normal at SnS. [Read More]
