Shawshank

So it was pouring cats and dogs and with 2 minutes to go it was just the Captain and I. The plan was set…..get a little wet, take a quick selfie and call it a day. In a moments notice 3 HIMs came in on 2 wheels and foiled any thoughts of an early breakfast. We had a choice…..be some men and head for the great wide open and take on the rain, or head towards some form of coverage (although it was a good jog away). [Read More]

BLIMPS and stairs

Back at the beginning of the year, YHC went through and signed up to Q roughly every 3 weeks or so just to make sure he was practicing his leadership skills on the Pax of Carpex. He had totally forgot about today’s Q (until he went to add a Q on Friday to his calendar) but with the re-opening of Carpex this week, there’s no better time to Q anyway! [Read More]

Dusting the rust off

Well, F3 Carpex is back open, which is great! YHC has been posting fairly regularly throughout the past couple of months, but the one thing he hasn’t done is Q. Well, with the limit of gatherings to 10 people or less, when 20 people showed up for Hello Kitty’s 3 year Annie Very Sorry Q, the pax needed to be divided. Instead of letting Hermes Q his 73rd workout over the past 2 months, YHC stepped up and took the lead. [Read More]

Voting Day at FWD

QIC Staubach 25 HIMs showed up for a warm Voting Tuesday at FWD. We were expecting 26 but @bagels took a dive on the EC run as it was clear that he was slightly intimidated with what was waiting ahead. We are glad its only a sprain and hope he has a speedy recovery. I was a bit nervous with the size of this group but made sure not to let them see me sweat. [Read More]

Hell's Bells Baseball

Inspiration for this workout came from the exicon. Wahoo once said that F3 is like recess, and I really enjoyed the competitive nature of F3 baseball. I really wanted something that would keep our heart rate up, but allow bruisers to participate. When Water Wings and Disco Duck requested a 7th inning stretch, I knew this was a good workout. Started with a quick 1/4 mile mosey and then moved into Warm Up [Read More]
