BO and a Show

When my Wednesday go particularly difficult to deal with at work, I texted my M and set a plan for the evening. After dinner, we would take the family out for a special outing to a new bubble tea place on NC State’s campus. After all, they have this new ‘cheese foam’ topping that has the internets all abuzz. I have a strong stomach, how bad could it be? Rolled through town this early AM to scout out a new spot I wanted to visit with the PAX. [Read More]

Mamba Mentality Purrfect for High Tempo

YHC wanted a chance to honor Kobe, his daughter, his family and those lost along side him in the tragic accident over the weekend. So, a high tempo 8&24 Mamba Mentality beatdown was in order at FMJ… and whattya know, 8 pax were there. Coincidence, I think not. Warm-up: On our way down the road stop for GM (8), SSH (24), Sir Fazios (8&8) The Thang: At the intersection partner up. [Read More]

Airball

Hey guys, it’s me. Yes, I’ve gotten my passport stamped…again. This week, it’s a trip the legendary Bradford’s Ordinary. I packed a lunch and a bag, and eventually arrived in that glorious location tucked away in the very quaint and bricky beige downtown Cary. Cars in the parking lot indicated guys were either getting in a nap or on an EC run. I honestly don’t know which. Last night my downtrodden, beloved Tarheels lost a nail-biter in Blaxberg. Old Home Week

Preamble Nothing like going back home. B.O. holds a special place in YHC’s heart for a few reasons. First, it was the site of my first post, and where I was named. Second, it happens to coexist with where I go to church. Finally, it offers the most diverse set of workout opportunities of any AO in Carpex. But enough of that, let’s go Warmup Jog over to the best warm-up site in all of Carpex in front of the bank and circle up for [Read More]

T.GI.F and The Starliner

As advertised, YHC arrived for EC at 5:43 a.m., which consisted of 3 reps of fist-bumps with the fellow PAX, and a quad stretch. After a flawless disclaimer delivered by YHC, including the oft omitted ’no assets’ verbiage, we took off for two laps around Carpex’s original Pickle™ with some painting of the lines sprinkled throughout. It was during the Pickle™ run that YHC learned that my fellow three PAX all stayed up way too late last night. 12 Days of Schlitz-mas

Are you looking at my Weinke? 20 HIMs were kind enough to show up on this glorious day to see what YHC had in store for them. Full disclosure, I signed up for this Q before this AO went high tempo and really just to get that Q-zie. Parker mentioned last week that his wife was Qing at FIA and doing the 12 days of Christmas as a theme for her workout and that sounded like a great idea so let’s go! [Read More]

Re-evaluating Life Decisions

Early this morning, YHC, Wrench, Flenderson, Two Factor, Jiggly Puff, and some random Maynard participants gather at the Cary Senior Center. For some crazy reason YHC decided to join in on the EC festivities offered by Wrench on Slack last night. We started the morning at 5:30 setting out for a 5 mile loop. 54 minutes and 5.51 miles later YHC arrived back to the senior center for the ME. I was beat and clearly questioning my life decisions at that point. [Read More]

I'm available

God Bless Yoga Mat for many reasons, but two stand out: He writes the best got danged pre-blasts and Q-hypes in the biznass. If the Q spot is open, he makes sure the Pax know, and thus YHC was able to jump on it for this week, and pumped to do so, two boots. The pax assembled, 18 deep with unseasonably warm temps… dang near 62 degrees when I tell that gurl please. [Read More]
