2020 Krispy Kreme Challenge

So it doesn’t happen in F3 unless there is a Back Blast. My stomach lining would disagree with that after a dozen donuts. It might even make its own “back blast” all over your shoes. But rules are rules so… This morning 15 HIMs showed up for a pre-race Murph. I was glad when Old Maid read a short piece about Lt. Michael Murphy and the sacrifice he, his team, and the teams who tried to extract them made in that battle. [Read More]

Box Jumps for Breakfast

It was another cold morning, but actually felt pretty good. Maybe F3 is making me tougher. Warm-Up Mosey around the school parking lot and circle up for hillbillies (cause we’re in Apex), Sir Fazios, cherry pickers, burpees, monkey humpers and Carolina Dry Docks. The Thang Mosey to the stairs for three rounds of 22’s. Round 1 - Australian mountain climbers and box jumps Round 2 - Irkins and dips Round 3 - Wonder bras and derkins [Read More]

3rd Sooey-anniversary

In keeping with the theme for a 3 year anniversary, YHC had the Q for the 3rd time at A-Team on 1/27/2020, exactly 3 years after Crimson introduced YHC to F3 on 1/27/2017. Doesn’t seem like that long ago, then again it seems like a lifetime. Funny how time works. As fate would have it, my good pal Frisco asked if I would be interested in a co-Q. Seeing as Frisco has not posted in well over a year (or maybe just like 10 days but you can decide) YHC made the fatal mistake of letting Camp Frisco invade F3 and NOT alerting the PAX ahead of time. Last Minute Q

Disclaimer- for those that have been to any one of my Q’s in the last year, I usually like to have at LEAST a couple days to write up my Weinke. With Headroom heading out of town and signed up to Q Lions Den that same day, he reached out if I could grab it for my future Q here. Without hesitation I grabbed the spot. 20 Pax arrived on time to find Headroom not here and that I have the Q. [Read More]

Down and dirty

POGL maybe, but they really should sweep the parking lots occasionally. YHC thought it was just me, but the PAX complained as well. Enough bitching. Warm-up Mosey to the park, butt kickers, high knees, backwards run. At the parking lot, warm up shoulders and get the heart-rate up a little. Thing 1 Partner catch-me if you can. Two laps around play area with burpees (x5). Two laps around with star jumps (x10). [Read More]

Going the distance

Gran Torino has become one of my favorite AOs. It draws a wide variety of pax, and those that come are tough customers. Today was no exception. As my first post there this year due to travel and work, I was eager to set a good example, especially as co-site Q’s @largemouth and @chanticleer were present. 5 for one EC run, a few others for another, and even more for EC PYPs, meant pretty much everyone was warmed up at go-time. Welcome back Iron PAX

For YHC’s first Q in 2020, why not make it the premiere 90 minute workout on a Saturday in north west Cary? I decided I wanted to stay on campus and use coupons for the beat down. Then I remembered there were supposed to be cinder blocks hidden somewhere on site and thought of how many of the Iron PAX challenge workouts had used a block so there was my plan. [Read More]
