Studs are made of 2x4's

I must admit, I had several doubts about this morning. I returned from the other side of the world only a few days ago and am just now getting my circadian rhythm back to Eastern Daylight Time. My sleep has been off, and I haven’t been as energetic as usual. To top that off, in true F3 fashion, I did the F3 ENC CSAUP “The Sasquatch” in Greenville, NC on Saturday. Billy Run The Back Way

Gotta be honest, YHC was a little nervous headed into this morning’s workout. I’ve Q’ed a million times, but this was my first hour long solo Q. Could I handle the extra fifteen minutes? Let’s find out. Warm-Up Face the Flag for the Pledge, then take a lap around the parking lot before circling up for imperial walkers, Sir Fazios, cotton pickers and burpees. The Thang Mosey out to the park entrance and travel along High House Road to the other entrance, stopping at each light pole for ten merkins, then continue down Bond Park Drive to the Lazy Days Playground, stopping at every other light pole for ten squats. Death Wish

Pre-Blast Charles Bronson once said, “Maybe I’m too masculine.” He was referring to the fact that he was not getting certain movie roles. After the strong showing I witnessed this morning, the 10 HIM who joined YHC this morning won’t get hired either. The Warmup Pledge of Allegiance at the flag Run the long way around the middle school out to the street back down and halfway up Andy Hill. Circle up for: Michael Phelps arm swings, Groiner Merkins, extended plank series with stretches and exercises. [Read More]

Heavens to Murgatroyd

Pre-Blast In Welch, Murgatroyd means: a clearing in the forest on the way to the moore. So, there’s that. An even dozen HIM showed one another what it means to be in F3: no man left behind, no man where we find him. So proud of the guys who stayed with their brothers throughout this tough workout. The men refused to leave anyone alone. Just awesome. The Warmup Pledge of Allegiance at the flag. [Read More]

Thx to Biner and PBX for joining YHC on the journey - great to get to know you guys better. 6 HIMs at the start for an ascent up Mt. Olympus…we EH’d two along the way. This is the part of the workout where the Q posts a BB......5 PENALTY BURPEES

40 years ago today, Mr and Mrs Puryear experienced that miracle of life that is childbirth, and brought into this world a bouncing baby McCants…….Who would have thought that momentous event 14,600 days ago would have a chaos theory affect, a RIP-ple if you will, on 7/19/2018 and completely change the day for 16 HIM’s who chose to post at the finest AO in NW Cary on a Thursday morning. #mccantsweek DAY 2 - MURPH

One day of legally-styled backblasts is enough. If any member of the PAX enjoys that eloquent writing, I have a 45 page brief on why a RICO class action complaint needs to be dismissed that YHC would gladly pass along. For those of you who are normal, back to YHC’s normal BB style, which means one that can fit into a tweet: 16 PAX appeared at FMJ, including Peeping Tom from South Wake and his FNG cousin, n/k/a Speed Racer. Traveling Pearls on a String

When: July 16th, 2018 QIC: Earhart The PAX: Hermes, PBX, Saban, Trike, Biner, Clementine, Pivot, Geek Squad, Angry Elf, Suds, Cheddar Bo YHC Earhart A warm, Monday morning greeted 12 HIM for a rare Earhart Q outside of Hell’s Bells on Mondays. Many new faces to me, imagine that posting somewhere else for a change. We head out around the pickle, with a backwards run down the hill. A quick detour to the curb for some quick feet before finally circling up for: [Read More]

Night Train 7/13

YHC heard about the Crazy Train, and thought it’d be fun to try it with rucks, during the evening.. hence, the Night Train. We put the word out via Slack, Twitters, Raleigh Area Ruckers Facebook, and various other COT-based means of communication. Seven ruckers and three runners answered the call. Goal Board the #76 Piedmont at 6:08pm in Cary, ride to Raleigh, and get rucking by 6:30. YHC estimated a 17min/mi overall pace, and after some advanced mathematics, determined that meant about a 4-hour trip. [Read More]

Vanilla String of Pearls 7/13/18

YHC is nearing the mid-point of the July Tour De Carpex and saw a Q opening back where it all began at The Premier North Cary Friday AO. After staying up all night with the Boys at Flacco’s 2nd F, 24 got up with the Men to workout. Chhanticleer and Largemouth got in a 4.something EC run (note that both were not seen at Flacco’s the night before). I’m confident Term Paper would have been on time, but that HIM stepped up to pick up Capt.
