Biner Says Wooooo!

Always good to be at Flying Circus. West Cary’s Finest Thursday Morning AO Near Two Schools and a Fire Station (or something like that.) All the regulars were there, I guess. I don’t really know. I’ve only been here like 4 times. We greeted Globe Trotter visiting from Austin, made fun of Nature Boy’s Hi-Liter-inspired ear muffs, a version of the disclaimer was given and we circled up. **Warm Up [Read More]

Avoiding Potholes

It rained practically all night, and at 0500 the Steve indicated that Tank Top Tuesday was a real possibility. To that end, an even dozen of Carpex’ finest gathered at the flag at Salem Pond Park. Allegiance is pledged and off we go. Warm Up Mosey around the parking lot and then down the main drag to a street light that was actually on. We’ll forever refer to that as Mistake #1. [Read More]

An AB-solutely pollen free beatdown.

There was no visible pollen at Wolverine on a warm and sweaty Monday morning. There were however 20 PAX passing on the left and hitting the six for an ab-solutely splendid morning! Warm-up: Pledge and wait for a just-a-few-seconds late Parker….10 burpees OYO and wait for just-a-few-seconds later Sky Blue…..plank hold, half way down. Hold up some arms, hold up some legs….okay let’s go! Brisk mosey to DDMS, circle up: SSH Calf-stretch merkins, switch Prisoner Squats The Thang: [Read More]

F3Prayer24

As I look around at the pax, I realize there are some new faces to me. Introductions were made to Carvana and Skipper, both here to Ruck. Noticeably missing was Fort Mills’ Dirty Hairy who was recently seen blotting out the sun, sporting his newly minted CARPEX™ Hello Kitty officially licensed gear, and was invited to attend N.W. Carpex’s premier High Tempo bootcamp. 🤐 A highly abbreviated disclaimer was shared….man can Hi-Liter talk, why don’t you lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance? [Read More]

No Mercy Mile

Pro tip: Write your BB as soon possible. This saving them up for the end of the week thing is for the birds. And not that much unlike my struggle to remember what I was doing about 30 hours ago the Exicon provided a doozy of a workout involving the track. I rarely post, or Q for that matter, where there is a running track so I made the most of this opportunity. [Read More]

On the hunt

OK fellas, YHC was feeling a little something extra this week in prep for a Phoenix-lead beatdown. I showed up at 0600 with a pocket full of scavenger hunt clues. Before setting out to strategicly place them around Bond Park, Brother Snots pulled into the lot. With that we rolled out… …back in time for some mumble before the beatdown, seeing no FNG’s YHC dropped the F3 mission statement and credo on the pax, and we’re off. [Read More]

4x13

To borrow a phrase from our Nantan, Ma Bell, today I reached level 52 of life. A strong group of 18 PAX (13 bootcampers, 4 ruckers and 1 bruiser) joined in on the celebration this morning at our Gran Torino AO. Awesome weather for a beatdown with temps in the mid/upper 40s. Let’s see how the old guy did… Warm-Up Jog through parking lot over to the bus loop and circle up for: [Read More]

The Gronk

This morning, at the finest AO in Northwest Cary on a Thursday morning, 10 pax paid their respects to the Gronk. After 9 years in the NFL, 5 Pro Bowls, 4 First-Team All-Pro seasons, 79 touchdowns (and Gronk spikes) and 3 Super Bowl wins, the Gronk (Rob Gronkowski) announced his retirement from the New England Patriots and the NFL earlier this week. Gronkowski revolutionized the tight end position. Gronk is one of the most recognizable football players in the history of the NFL, with a larger-than-life personality, on-and-off the field. Meet the Pivots

Twas another splendid Tuesday morning in at Field of Dreams. YHC was ready to go after a brisk run to the AO with BOGO, Squatter, and Michelob. We gathered, I recited some form of a disclaimer. Debate ensued on whether we should state the fact that it is a disclaimer, or if we should simply disclaim. Quick mosey around the parking lot and we all join the pivot family circle of trust for warmups. [Read More]

Just in Time Training

I still don’t wear a watch during these workouts. While it’s always good to see Biner, unless he’s Qing of course (then you just have to channel your inner Spartan warrior), he provided the necessary time checks along the way during this particularly time sensitive workout. It was only time sensitive in that we were traveling a long way from the flag and everyone likes arrive home on time. 17 showed, 2 kept Sooey company as he continues his recovery walks, so 14 of launch for a trip around the Apex Lake.
