Your M Will Thank Me Later

Preamble Sometime on Tuesday, as I was contemplating my posts for the rest of the week, a message appeared out of the blue that the HFT QIC slot for Thursday was open. YHC jumped on it and…Boom! Thursday plan solved! Then sometime on Wednesday, Buzz Cut messaged me something to the effect of “I don’t know you; can I count on you actually Qing my site?” Right question, wrong PAX to ask. The Rules and Proper Nutrition

Back almost 4 years ago when I first got initiated in this group (not a cult) that we know as F3, our little group in Carpex was a lot smaller. At that point, I think a full schedule was 2-3 AOs on most days. As it stands now in July 2021, we are more like 7-8 AOs five days per week, as well as several Saturday options and a plethora of EC opportunities. [Read More]

Mexican Slayride*

It snuck up on me, but my 6-year anniversary of my first post is 6/15. I first posted at A-Team, at the urging of Hotspot, way back in 2015. You know he can be convincing… Crazy busy schedule these last few days, with 2.0 Zip Drive wrapping up his high school career, and all the celebrations that signal the end of one phase, and the beginning of another. But I saw that A-Team was Q-less, and, even with all the crazy in my life right now, could NOT pass up a chance to see if I could pull off another themed Q there. [Read More]

¡Three FNGos!

AO: Phoenix Workout Date: 06/12/21 YHC has posted Phoenix (or maybe it was Werewolf), but it has obviously been a while. The starting parking lot was a lot smaller than I remembered and there were a large number of PAX, including three FNGs. Time to start modifying the plan. Warm Up: State the mission, check for FNGs (3), and give the disclaimer Side Straddle Hop x20 In Cadence (IC) Good Morning x5 IC [Read More]

What R* We Doing???

A few weeks back I got the notion that it was time to Q at Bounty Hunters and take advantage of Site Q IPTF’s fantastic swag offer, the coveted Bounty Hunter decal. I looked out, synced up calendars, and found a June 3rd opening (May 4th was already snagged :( ). This was right after @Flenderson and @Hotspot’s fantastic May Hill Climb Challenge had finished, and after the Maynard 100 earlier in the month. [Read More]

Day 28.

We Murphed. It was glorious. Almost exactly 1 mile run to a playground at Mama’s Boy’s neighborhood pool. There were tunes. Hello Kitty doesn’t much care for the Rolling Stones. Nobody argued with him. Joe Smith is STRONG at pull-ups. STRONG. By the way, Dazed & Confused is back at Apex High School. Try to park as far away as possible as not to upset teachers with assigned parking spots. And circle up off to the side so incoming teachers don’t run you over. [Read More]

Hide and Seek

Today’s Q was in doubt when I jammed up my ankle at #2F-Guys-and-Balls yesterday. But all I did was make the PAX run while I stayed central for the workout. The HIMs were understanding and didn’t rag on me too bad about that…they focused on my sexy new silkies instead. Since I wasn’t hiding any part of my legs in those silkies (totally a photo of me as featured photo), I decided we’d play hide and seek for our workout instead. [Read More]

Five Alive

No better way to kick off National Buttermilk Biscuit Day than in the gloom with my brothers. Warm-Up Mosey to the front of the school and circle up for imperial walkers, Sir Fazios, daisy pickers, copperhead merkins, copperhead squats and control freak Good Mornings. The Thang Mosey to the bottom of the hill next to the parking deck for Five Alive. Five rounds of 5 burpees, 10 merkins, 15 squats, 20 dry docks, 25 LBCs with a quick trip up and down the hill. White Prius

60 degrees with wind chill of 45, perfect weather for a beatdown. Warm-Up Mosey to the front of the church and circle up for imperial walkers, Sir Fazios, daisy pickers, copperhead merkins, copperhead squats and burpees (Smithers was two seconds late, the flag touched the ground, Hi-Liter made fun of my car). The Thang Quick mosey to the parking lot for three corners. Mosey to the top corner for 10 monkey humpers, mosey back to the starting corner for 10 dry docks, mosey to the far corner for 10 monkey humpers, mosey back to the starting corner for 10 dry docks, for five-ish rounds. Entering the World of Meh

Twas another great Saturday morning at the site of Phoenix! Just perfect for a good well balanced beatdown, and YHC had planned the workout with that in mind! I also chose to lead this one in particular as a way of commemorating my last day in my twenties. (Going to different for a while to not hear “Hate” called for me in name-o-rama). When 6:30 struck 8 pax were ready to go, including an FNG. [Read More]
