Mucho Chesto Merkin Mile

Wolverine’s starting time moves to 5:30 next week, and YHC was honored to Q the final 5:45 workout. It’s a special occasion, so I knew I had to bring something special. I pulled into the parking lot and the conditions were perfect. Dark, raining, not really cold but certainly not warm. Perfectly gloomy. Warm-Up Mosey over to the middle school parking lot and circle up for imperial walkers, Sir Fazios forward, Sir Fazios backwards, hill billies and cotton pickers, all x 15. [Read More]

Spring has sprung?

YHC decided that he needed to stretch the legs a little Sunday afternoon (2/11/18). 2.0 Zip Drive’s been laying around goofing off all weekend. “Let’s go for a run” I said on the way home from Church. “OK” the mumbled reply. About 1 I decided 2 would be our launch time. Quick blast on Slack and drummed up some business. Banjo and JigglyPuff dusted off their kicks for a rare daylight tour of Insomnia and Vesper routes. This PAX is on Fire

Dow Jones wasn’t the only one that had a rough week. YHC was again bit by some sort of bug and two colleagues went down with the flu. So what better way to cap off the week than rising from the ashes at Phoenix? 20 PAX agreed and all 21 of us hit the gloom. Though rain threatened, we stayed mostly dry. A few hearty PAX ran into the AO from various destinations, working to get in some extra miles leading up to various events this Spring. [Read More]

51 is the Magic Number

There’s an ongoing Slack-o-sphere “discussion” over the #1 AO in all of Carpex. I’ll admit, YHC has stirred the pot just a bit over this one. The primary goal for the February 9, 2018 edition of Dante’s Peak was to show the glorious versatility and overall excellence of what I consider to be THE top destination for PAX of Carpex. So let’s get on with it. Solid group of HIMs (HIDAs? [Read More]

YHC had a planned scheduled stop at Peak Olive Oil [Read More]

The OCTOTHREAT is real, people. Prepare yourselves!

Another glorious day in the gloom is upon us and YHC is ready for his second ever solo Q at his favorite AO, Bradford’s Ordinary (BO for short). As always, there’s been a lot of mumble chatter in CARPex and YHC has been trying to keep up. If only there was a way to organize our chatter in such a manner where one could easily find topics of conversation and @ their favorite PAX in order to provoke an immediate reply.
