A Well Balanced Beatdown

The Green Mile is a great location to meet up in the gloom and workout. Though, with it being one of the longest, I felt it could be one of the more challenging bootcamps to lead, especially when the factor of heat is brought into the equation. So YHC considered it a great honor to come out and Q it, and one that I took very seriously. The weather started out very nice, and stayed nice really through the entire time! [Read More]

Partner up, nevermind

I am still not sure why I signed up for the Q this morning. It sure would have been nice to sleep in. I’m sure several PAX wished I would have slept in (Deuce, you can say it, I won’t be offended). But I didn’t and we all left thankful for the opportunity to do some work and enjoy some fellowship together. Here is what went down: 6:30 - time to get rolling. [Read More]

Snip-pery When Wet

Fifteen PAX made it out Friday morning in the gloom to Slippery When Wet for a Snip-led workout. At 545 AM (and some change), we kicked it off with the Pledge, and off we went. Power Hour

Francois is your Q. Repeato and Bartman for 60-pound sandbag EC. Warmup: Kashmir on the Sonos for Francois’ patented exercise calls. Thing 1: Power Hour on the Sonos for rock work. Quite a playlist. 2 of the first 3 were Britney. There was some Ricky Martin, TLC, and a Backstreet Boys song. Nothing to see here, just some bros pressing rocks overhead while listening to “Livin La Vida Loca.” Thing 2: Dude Solutions for “Back in Black” and “Don’t Stop Believing” while bear crawling, derkining, quick feeting, and box jumping on the lip of a curb so narrow that everyone wisely bailed out. After the Hurricane

A beautiful night in down town Cary. The feels like temperature was below 90 and the humidity was at 61%. A eager PAX arrived, well they weren’t that eager. Chatter at the beginning was to run to Bond and call it a workout. It was too nice to not enjoy a bootcamp with coupons. 2 minute warning, no FNG, Mission, and Pledge. Warm Up: Mosey around campus. Abe Vigoda’s/Good Evenings [Read More]

One more lap

YHC was pleased to see 18 HIMs gather in the gloom for a mostly running workout. I realize the PAX like to incorporate all the major muscle groups so I incorporated a variety of exercises, but I really prefer running. Today we covered 2.8 miles around the parking lot, but next time we will take one more lap around the parking lot which should get us to 3. Disclaimer No FNGs, so standard disclaimer and Pledge of Allegiance. [Read More]

Back in Black (HOKIE Edition)

Ten PAX made it out to their favorite Thursday morning AO, Back in Black for a Hokie-led beatdown. After my Kryptonite chat with Burt, I decided something Hokie related was in store for my Q. At 515 AM, we kicked it off with the Pledge, and off we went. Warm up Warm up run to the middle of the Dude Solutions parking lot. Good Morning Side Straddle Hops Calf Stretch (both sides) Merkins First » Rock Pile Mozy to the Rock Pile and grab a Non-traveling rock: [Read More]

Something About Mary

I haven’t been posting very consistently over the past 6 months but I have been doing the 2020 Core Challenge on an almost daily basis since the beginning of February. Therefore I thought it was appropriate to do a fair bit of core work for this (3rd) Anniversary Q. Also, considering the fact that due to the nature of my work, I’m holding a squat position for a good part of the day I wanted to incorporate some squat work as well. [Read More]

Add title

I couldn’t think of a title so I just kept what was already there. A few of us got after it a bit early for a little EC, and I saw a few guys getting a bit more after the workout. Here’s what happened in between. 0545, No FNGs so off we go for a quick parking lot tour before circling up for some Good Mornings, Windmills and Steve Earles. [Read More]
