Will You Call My Name

2 1/2 years ago Pickles approached me with an idea to start a second limited run AO in Carpex. I was months behind on my membership dues but Pickles promised that he could “fix it” with the Leadership if I became a co-Site Q and started paying him directly in unmarked $10s and $20s (privilege of him being the Dues Collector, I guess). At first, I was worried. I was fairly new to F3 and unlike Mama’s Boy people actually liked me after their first post with me. [Read More]

All The People

YHC has most recently led workouts that numbered three and four people, respectively. So I am not mentally prepared for the mass of humanity that descends on DTP this Tuesday morning. People keep pouring out of cars like Decal is handing out money or has an extra supply of gasoline. We need a slight change of plans to handle the crowd, but the show will go on. No FNGs. Pledge. High Tempo Adventure

Cougartown 5/11 PAX: Snooki, Traffic Cone, Sooey, Crimson, Puddles, Peaches, Bolton, The Joker, Intimidator QIC: Flenderson YHC noticed the empty Q slot yesterday and felt F2L. When this AO opened I realized how close it was to the nearby field and to Walmart just beyond it. This was a lofty plan but could be the push YHC needs. Mosey to lot near tennis court for warm up. Warm Up: Arm Circles [Read More]

Run FOD Run!

Apparently I’m being accused of becoming a runner as of late. With that thought, I did consider running into FOD this morning, but as it’s 4.5 each way + the workout I had planned I thought the better of it. Plus part of the route being a bit dicey (2 lane road and dark) I opted for the drive in. With my plan ready to go and with FOD being a “late start AO”, I arrived early for a solo 3/4 mile EC. Patriotic Iron Sharpens Iron

Workout Date: 04/29/21 This is my third Carpex Q of the week (and fourth overall) as I try to force myself back into a regular posting schedule. This is also my third Cornerstone Church Q of the week, a great site for the no run/low run/coupon crowd. Like the pull up bars I had incorporated yesterday, the cinder blocks were on my mind for today. Warm Up: Give the mission statement, check for FNGs, give the disclaimer, and warm up: [Read More]

Tortoise Pendulum

Workout Date: 04/28/21 YHC needed to hop back on the Q train to get my momentum back. Tortoises was the second workout I was able to find on the Carpex Q sheet for this week. At Hell’s Bells on Monday, I had heard about the pull up bars on site and hoped I could work them in somehow. Warm Up: Give the mission statement, check for FNGs, give the disclaimer, and warm up: [Read More]

YHC is not above Qing for free stuff.

Free coffee cup indeed, but no coffee. Well for the second week in a row, PBX pre-blasted that The Green Mile needed a Q and whoever took the reigns would be the proud owner of a brand new F3 stainless steal coffee mug! Well, YHC loves coffee. And free stuff, so even though I’m tapering for the TRM next Saturday, I figured a little 90 minute bootcamp wouldn’t hurt anything. [Read More]

Entering the World of Meh

Twas another great Saturday morning at the site of Phoenix! Just perfect for a good well balanced beatdown, and YHC had planned the workout with that in mind! I also chose to lead this one in particular as a way of commemorating my last day in my twenties. (Going to different for a while to not hear “Hate” called for me in name-o-rama). When 6:30 struck 8 pax were ready to go, including an FNG. [Read More]

The Danger "No Winkie" Zone

As I found myself at DZ this morning, I was welcomed by cool weather, with a chance of rain along with a bare forearm that is normally covered by the pro level winkie. Alas, today was the day to possible retire it, but no promises. Looking at 9 good looking HIM, with no FNGs, we turned towards the flag for the pledge. Quick lap around pickle for some warmups Mozy up the road to Railinc Corp for Thang 1: 7’s on the Stairs [Read More]

Klingon Opera

I’m sorry…what? 13 PAX descended on downtown Cary, NC, a town formerly known as Bradford’s Ordinary. Personally, “Cary” is much easier to say so I’m thankful I don’t have to say I live in Bradford’s Ordinary, North Carolina. Either way, still better than saying that I live in Apex. WARM UP Quick jog over to the Bank for: SSH Calf stretches Merkins Good mornings Squats THE THANG Mosey over to the Ol’ Parking Deck for Double 11s. [Read More]
