FNGs Abound

The PAX recruiting game showed up strong on this A.M. as we had 3 FNGs make their way into the gloom. The Disclaimer was necessary. As I type this I am just now realizing I forgot to lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance. This is a priority and so I recognize now the men and women who go and have gone into harms way to protect the liberties that we as a United States of America hold as unalienable. [Read More]

Rocks, Rocks and more Rocks

Was enjoying chatting up the group when suddenly it was time to go - one burpee OYO i called and then follow me. FIrst Moore came up to me and was very concerned about where we were headed as his FNG had not yet arrived. Dont worry i assured him as we rounded the corner to the back of the parking lot as i had every intention of staying in the exact same parking lot for our warm up. Cherries and Pain Sticks

Pre-Blast This being my virgin Q and my first time at SNS, I truly appreciate all the support and advice from the PAX. Special thanks go to Angry Elf for the pep talk the night before and for planning the Thang with the pain sticks. I do wish I had made it to Q school. It is amazing how much I didn’t pick-up naturally from two months of just doing the workouts. [Read More]

This anniversary beatdown brought to you by the number 11

Today is my 1-Year F3 Anniversary!!!! First post was a year ago today at Flirtin’ with Disaster. Funny story about that…… Blue Water EH’d me, but due to a mix-up, I posted in Carpex and he posted in South Wake. Joe Smith was was the Q that morning. It was his VQ, and I learned who “Dora” is, and how to get to the “Bridge of Pain.” Sosa and I were both named after COT. I Was Going To Do That Anyway...

~~~Ride~~The~~Wave~~~
2nd F event on Tuesday night prior to the Wednesday Q was bad idea. Well the actual event wasn’t a bad idea, but those last 4 Brooksweisers were prolly a really bad idea. But hey, great opportunity for a 2nd F baseball game with your F3 brothers! The mighty Holly Springs Salamanders, affectionately known by the locals as the ‘Manders, are a force to be reckon with…sorta. Anyhoo the plan was to carpool from some shady Cary bar called The 19th Hole Bar and Grill; leaving at 6:20. They lock the baseball fields when it rains
It was your typical Wednesday Morning Buffet. Several arrived early for a little Insomnia appetizer. The Ruckers and the Vespers all grabbed their food to go, and the rest of the SNS crowd dined heavily on Turkish Get Ups, Bropees and Absolution. With some Twerkins for dessert. And although we didn’t start with a Good Morning (sorry Nature Boy) we did end with a Have a Nice day. And a new word was created. [Read More]
Shakin' not Stirred 4/25/18 Day 3 -- The '80's
The week of Smokey continues with the music of the ‘80’s. Joining us in the gloom were artists like Kenny Logins, Def Leppard, and Bon Jovi to name a few. 36 PAX were there for Vesper and SnS. 28 actually got to listen to the music. We began with a quick run around the parking lot to warm up in front of the senior center. Warm Up SSH Imperial Walkers [Read More]
What the heck is an Octothreat
As the Twitterserve would have it, YHC and some of the fellas including Captain Insano got into a deep-cut thread over the weekend and thus was born the “Octothreat.” With the pressure of the entire F3 Nation, YHC set out to embark the PAX on the first-ever Octothreat. But first, another solid showing at Insomnia. YHC was looking for the easy way out before the Q on this morn, but the peer pressure pushed YHC into the 0505 start time (sorry to Angry Elf who showed up like a HIM at 0520 for recon). [Read More]
It's cold, but it's no Reykjavik!
YHC was truly impressed with all the CARPex crazies talking EC last night on the MC Groupme channel. Between Insomnia, EC Ruck, OTB in South Wake and Pittsboro — and a Tortoise Challenge from @f3earhart — was anyone going to Post at the Utopia that is the unofficial Wednesday CARPex convergence? As @flipflopcarpex and YHC rolled into the parking lot, the answered seemed to be “no”. Lots of dark, homogenic, exhaust-spewing vehicles but little cold breath to be seen. [Read More]
