Adventures in Apex

It was forecast to be very cold, but we braved only low thirties at Dante’s Peak on Friday. Seven HIM warmed up the area with a classic warm-up of Hillbillies, Imperial Walkers, Side-straddle Hop, Calf Stretches and of course Good Mornings. We moved immediately to a wonderful round of sevens with Burpees at the bottom and squats at the top of the hill offering brief chance for recovery. Hills not Circles

Saw the Q-sheet was open and wanted to do a BRR-style Q with the added bonus of trolling the FMJ PAX on Slack for predictably “running in circles” at the track. Much respect to those guys I wouldn’t be able to keep up. The POGL has some awesome hills and a little bit of elevation checking on topographical maps pointed to my two favorites. Measuring 2x with Music

Music has always been a core part of my life. Piano lessons starting at age 6, leading high school youth group on guitar, dancing like a fiend at Phish shows, and most recently mountain biking at Lake Crabtree classic rock (thanks to Road Rash for the tip).
