Two for the Price of One

YHC woke up and immediately checked the forecast. The predicted rain was GONE! 45 mins of rain, not a big deal. 90 mins of rain…a bit much. YHC also drove to the AO the day before to scout a rock pile spotted on Google Satellite (and DM’d Sub for recommended rock piles). The Google one was perfect so we were set! Thanks to you guys, I’m a better man at 51 than I was at a decade or two ago. That’s an understatement, to be sure, but I won’t bore you with details. 11 Lucky souls began in the Lion’s Den and unleashed on the hollowed grounds of St. Mary’s After the pledge and quick warm-up that included some running and stretching we headed out on Apex BBQ for a quick loop and back to the soccer field. We cashed-in with 5 burpees OYO and headed out to the field for our first round: 7’s including LBC’s and Carolina Docs with 20 lunge steps to and fro. [Read More]

Fellowship Run

Three PAX met in the yellowish gloom for a 3 mile fellowship run. We started with the disclaimer and pledge, then jogged through downtown Apex while getting to know each other. Stopping at the Train Station, we soaked up some the history while doing 7s with star fish and burpees. On to Bounty Hunter’s, but no one was there – we were too early.
