Tour de Phoenix

Phoenix has a special place in my heart as it was the site of my first VQ. Had I known that day that it was a 60 min bootcamp, I may have postponed joining Hi-Lighter as it also marked my first 6-pack. What a week that was 2 years ago! Mumble chatter was solid, albeit owned by Tecumseh where we learned a bunch about health insurance. With that 6 others joined YHC for a Tour De Phoenix (Bond Park) and 2 rucked. [Read More]

Getting Swole on Thorsday!

I was pretty excited for this workout. It was the first true Spring evening workout (in my opinion) - the weather was perfect. I decided to grab some weapons for the thang and utilize the Asgardian Warrior Training Grounds. My goal for this workout was to push everyone for 45 straight minutes. Workout together but against yourself. No FNGs. We Pledged to the good ‘ole US of A and moseyed to the Asgardian Warrior Training Grounds (Elevate Course at the park) for a quick warm-up. Once more unto the breach

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more; For here at A-team were we once infected. May the 4th Be With You - Almost (Chewie's VQ-ish)

Roughly a week ago YHC approached Kwik Stop and was like, “Hey Dude, want to come-up with a workout and Co-Q? at Tin2Iron?” In which the response that I heard was, “heck yeah” (or something like that…). So here we are. I woke-up at 3 a.m. with some major sciatic pain which helped me remember I forgot to charge the surround sound system for today’s beat down which still died in the middle of the workout and I had to plug the speaker into my vehicle. Katowice meets Bialystok

Pierogi Q tour continues with a return visit to the West Side. Pulled in around 5:20, shoes still on the passenger seat, with Sky Blue sliding into his regular spot just in front of me. As I leisurely put one shoe on and then the other, I notice the Flying Circus founder is getting agitated. He’s bouncing around like I’m holding him back from something. And as I tighten my laces and put the keys in the regular hiding spot, the man is literally running away from me down the parking lot. [Read More]

It's Gotta be the Shoes

Strava: https://www.strava.com/activities/2533656518 17 Pax gathered at Cary’s Koka Booth VIP lot ready for a high tempo beatdown led by YHC (or why else would I be writing the BB?) As the crowd gathered it appeared we’d also have a high tempo mumblechatter kinda morning. And boy did we. 1 FNG, formerly known as “Ken”, now referred to as Snapback was there. He has lived here about a year and was a referral from the Cape Fear boys, where SB used to live. [Read More]
