Decades Day 2: Measure Twice 50's

Day Two – and the first “official” AO day. As a new site Q for Measure Twice, felt like a perfect setting to continue the week. The site moved from the original Carpenter Park location (hence the AO name) to Northwest Park, technically in Morrisville. This is primarily due to access to RTP Trails, which normally would have fallen on this day. Preamble Per usual, planning the Q started sometime after dinner and finalized before going to bed. YHC drifted off to a sound sleep with a smile my face. Warm-Up Mosey over to the Community Center parking lot and circle up for 22 side straddle hops and others. Callahan showed up late and salty so a few burpees thrown in. The Thang Mosey down the hill to the bottom lot and partner up. One runs the pickle, the other alternates step-ups and dips. After a few rounds switch from dips to derkins. Escalating merkins up the hill. Run to first light pole, 1 merkin, run back. [Read More]

EC Showed up a bit before 5:30 thinking that FOD was an early start time. Then remembered that FOD is old school. 5:45AM Start old school. Luckily Gump was in the parking lot just waiting to put on some more miles. The man finished his first marathon Sunday and he’s already looking for some EC?! Crazy. Many baseball and softball games have been played/coached/umpired out here. And it’s a great site to move around and travel. FOD Old Timers Club

You know what we did and all of you are old timers as Beaker noted in Slack. Those that didn’t attend don’t need to know the details, but here is a summary: 4 corners throughout the park. Run, chest and shoulders, run, core, run, legs, run, practice what we learned. NMS Only Beaker kept this from being 100% respect Franklin convinced me to get there early to start with FOD run club and get in a 2-mile EC before the workout. [Read More]
