Dora Got Nothing on Jeff 1-2-3-4

Preamble Per usual, planning the Q started sometime after dinner and finalized before going to bed. YHC drifted off to a sound sleep with a smile my face. The smile continued as I woke up (I mean, at my age every day above ground is a blessed one), through my morning deuce/wordle/stretching routine, and on the drive to Bond Park. 40 seconds prior to launch, YHC flawlessly recited and enunciated the F3 Mission. Are we still doing this?

I know we have a newfangled method of tracking workouts with attendance and what happened on slack with PaxMate, but part of me still enjoys typing it out for posterity. Anyway, as Triple Lindy and I were discussing running plans for this morning, I remembered I had a late softball game Tuesday night. It’s cool we can just run Friday. And then our boy Happy Gilmore dropped the SNS pre-blast and I was reminded I did indeed have the Q. [Read More]

Do you even plan, bro?

A few weeks ago, I realized I had not Q’d a single Monday workout in 2021. Well, that seems to be a problem which needs fixing. Meet up at 5:05 at Wolverine to run some hills with Ma Bell. Return to a parking lot of HIMs at 5:28. Warm Up Run across the street to the pool parking lot. Circle up for Good Mornings, Sir Fazio arm circles, Steve Earles, Runner’s stretch, calf stretch, with a little Pigeon thrown in there. [Read More]

Milk Man

Websters: milk·man/ˈmilkmən,ˈmilkˌman/Learn to pronouncenoun a person who delivers and sells milk. Urban Dictionary: milkman A person that handles/pleases the wifey/girlfriend, when the husband or boyfriend is away. That baby doesnt look anything like you. Better ask the wife about the milkman. I’ll give you one guess as to how we ended up with FNG Milk Man on Friday @ DZ. I honestly don’t remember what all we did. At all. I know I wanted to use the sand volleyball courts but there was a group up there already. [Read More]

Conquering the Beast

Serious storms overnight, but a gap in the rain from 530 to 7 made for a great morning to workout. For my 6th anniversary, 6x6x6 (or the Beast) seemed appropriate, but I wanted to mix it up. We made 36 stops throughout Down Town Cary, and performed series’ of 6 exercises at each (sometimes throwing in 2 exercises at the stops) If you want to know what we did (sort of), see the image. Merlot, 3 Honors, no Murph, no coffee, blood, 1 bud light, & counting can be so freakin' hard!

Wow – crazy fun morning at BO! So very much was happening & I’m not sure if I can capture half of it…. here’s my version, my truth…. Men gathered at the flag, grumbling was evident as Flacco’s presence looms large these days of May…. Murph on the minds of the PAX. We did the mission, the pledge, & were off to tour the town. Loop around & head to the bank for warm-ups – executed under extreme mumble chatter – it was awesome! [Read More]

So I know some of you are woodworkers...

My 3 years of f3 celebration continue as I Q at the place I posted for the 2nd time, and my favorite Carpex AO, Bradfords Ordinary. What I remember from that post was that Disco Duck was the Q and the old lady that gave Callahan what was walking and carrying a bag of rice as he was coming off of IR a hard time. Hide and Seek

Today’s Q was in doubt when I jammed up my ankle at #2F-Guys-and-Balls yesterday. But all I did was make the PAX run while I stayed central for the workout. The HIMs were understanding and didn’t rag on me too bad about that…they focused on my sexy new silkies instead. Since I wasn’t hiding any part of my legs in those silkies (totally a photo of me as featured photo), I decided we’d play hide and seek for our workout instead. [Read More]
