The Non Convergence Experience

Seeing the Q slot open a few weeks earlier and realizing I was still in need of said AO Q slot for the “box checking”, I eagerly entered my name onto the Q-Sheet. As the days passed, I then realized that the day in question was good ole Thanksgiving. Reaching out to Site-Qs.. the decision was made to stay open giving the PAX another option. With that said – and after a brief EC and no FNG’s in sight, we started with The Pledge… and [Read More]

Burpees for Days

11 PAX joined YHC at Bond Park this morning for a great start to the weekend. It is good to see things returning to somewhat normal slowly after the last few weeks of staying home. YHC signed up to Q for accountability. If your name is on the Q sheet, theres a very high likelihood you will make it to the work out. After several weeks ‘off’ it is good to make sure you get up when the alarm goes off. [Read More]

Return of the Deck

The evening finally came for the grand reopening of Carpex’s original evening AO, and it felt so good to be back! 10.5 pax came out to get their beatdown on. (because two 2.0s=1.5… which kept us “under the 10” mark) …ok fine it was 11 overall, but who’s counting? Either way, it was a big crowd for Rush Hour. And it was awesome to see! Ok, with that out of way, YHC started off with the mission statement and the Pledge of Allegiance. [Read More]

It was quite Beige in the heart of Bradfords Ordinary

19 pax show up, everyone in one of Becky’s freshly pressed TT’s, no FNGs, gloves not required. Straight vanilla., or beige? 7 Rubberbands follow Angry Elf for stretching. The remaining 12 BOs head to the bank to warmup with various stuff. In plank position, Burt is called on …….. ? And he calls calf stretches. Yeah we were all thinking the same thing, waiting for it to sink in. Really? Shaking away the cobwebs, gathering his wits, he then has us going into a progression of calf stretches, merkins, and …. Hey There!

Started the morning with an EC run. I can’t remember who I ran with but while we were running a young man on his bike rode by, stopped and then came back to us and asked if we were with F3. Of course we said yes, told him where to go, and headed to the flag. His hospital name is Niko (with an N) and since he had posted in Davidson, his F3 name is “Hey There. [Read More]

The Best of Bradford's Ordinary

Solid group of 20 gathered in the parking lot ready to do some work. Kitty gives the disclaimer, quizzes the PAX about the 5 core principles and we are off. Warm up at The Bank ending with Jack Webb’s to 5 Cluster Indian Run to Parking Deck for Pain Stick fake out and some Hand Release Merkins Parking deck tour with LBCs, Jump Squats and Freddie Mercs Pocket Park for Bear Crawls, Lunges, Derkins and Dips [Read More]

I Just Googled “Most Repetitive Songs”

Pre-Blast 11 rocked out at #ao-thurs-bo. There was some discussion about Puck’s ‘stache. @Burt has an off-site meeting today at 2:30. To prepare for today, YHC just Googled “Most Repetitive Songs” The Warmup Pledge of Allegiance at the flag Run to the CFB parking lot. Circle up for: Good Mornings, Windmills, Sir Fazio Series, Calf Stretches, Diamond and WG Merkins. Run to the end of the lot and back. The Thangs [Read More]

For Which It Stands

No shovel flag this morning, but there was a flag draped over a tree limb, so we pledged allegiance to it and then we were off. Warm-Up Mosey almost all the way around the pickle and circle up for side straddle hops, imperial walkers, cotton pickers, Sir Fazios (all in perfect cadence) and then Nature Boy led us in the loudest Good Mornings ever. The Thang Mosey out of the park, take a right and head over to the office park next door. [Read More]

7 of Diamonds

F3 Carpex is in a great spot. I don’t mean location. F3 Carpex is healthy and growing. In some ways it seems like our growth is limitless. I cannot begin to imagine how many AOs there will be five years from now. Many AOs, on a nice morning, will have well over 20 guys post. The energy is high, the mumble chatter is relentless. But I was reminded this morning of how a small group of men can be a refreshing change. [Read More]

Get Off My Lawn

Disclaimer, this is NOT a GT backblast. This was the first Q that I signed up for in 2019 because 2/14 has always been a notable day for me in F3. More in the NMS. YHC cruised in post-recon with a minute to spare. Scooped up the PAX after determining that the mustachioed Puck was NOT an FNG, and headed out with the most non-compliant of disclaimers: “My name is Jigglypuff, and I’ve been doing this ish for 2 years.
