Monday at D'wood: Episode 92 of "A Man With No Plan"

Interesting morning, to say the least. We had an FNG who was invited by “Kyle”, but had no idea what Kyle’s last name was. We had a gaggle of SCary PAX, umm, gift us the Ghost Flag? I’m a little lost on the specifics there, but I don’t really care. And evidently, neither does anyone else. Alas, pour Ghost Flag. You had a good run, pal. The PAX circled up at 0530, milling around for another 2 minutes until we started. [Read More]

3 (Years) Is The Magic Number

Realizing that 2021 was coming to an end pretty quickly and knowing that my anniversary of joining F3 was in January, I grabbed the Q slot back in late Oct to celebrate it as best I can. Little did I know how important this Q would be… A quick disclaimer was made and with no fngs in attendnace, we started with the pledge. Then we mozied towards the parking lot up the road. Just an Ordinary morning in the gloom

I won’t wax poetic as I am submitting this BB 3 weeks after the workout. Why? Because backblasts are important from a historical perspective. That being said … lets go! Are we still doing this?

I know we have a newfangled method of tracking workouts with attendance and what happened on slack with PaxMate, but part of me still enjoys typing it out for posterity. Anyway, as Triple Lindy and I were discussing running plans for this morning, I remembered I had a late softball game Tuesday night. It’s cool we can just run Friday. And then our boy Happy Gilmore dropped the SNS pre-blast and I was reminded I did indeed have the Q. [Read More]

Full circle...Exercise!

I will not say how long it has been since my first post at Slippery When Wet, as it’s been far too long, but things seemed to come full circle. My posting has always come in waves, but I decided in May to make a consistent effort to get back in the gloom. After a rolled ankle at the end of August, I took some time to rest it, which set back some great progress. [Read More]

Be sure and log out

Sometimes things just fall neatly into place, and this weekend as I saw posts from F3 Grand Strand about their brother HIghtower, I hopped over to the Q sheet and marveled at my good fortune that Claymore was open. Load up the hatchback with some goodies and away we go. One year ago this weekend, PFC Jacob Hancher of the Myrtle Beach PD was killed in the line of duty. He was known to his F3 Grand Strand brothers as Hightower: [Read More]
