Tire Races

1/7/2021 15 crushers for some tire flip / farmer’s carry, merkin, Indian walk mania carrying the baby coupon. QIC divided the Brothers up into two teams. Each team will flip a tire one way up the pickle until you reach the other end of the parking lot. Each HIM will flip 5 times and then step away to do 5 diamond merkins and get to the back of the line until its their turn again until you reach the end of the parking lot. [Read More]

Just a vanilla beat down with no running.

Arriving at 25 mins before go time to the AO, I had a moment of, “crap, did this location get relocated?” As there were no cars in the lot and thus no one doing the “EC thang”. I then also recalled that this isn’t a school and there was no pre-blast sent! Someone else would eventually show up. Nonetheless, I did my own short loop of an EC and then 14 others rolled in to join YHC for what I heard was on task for no mileage and overall solid. [Read More]

OG Bootcamp

With all the training for the BRR, I need more bootcamp in my life. The pythons are looking a little sickly (not in the good millenial phrasing way) and I may be a little loose in the cage. This week has been all about more balanced workout - and less miles. So when the chance to Q arguably the greatest AO location in all of Carpex popped up, I jumped all over it and decided to deliver an OG style bootcamp. [Read More]

Will You Call My Name

2 1/2 years ago Pickles approached me with an idea to start a second limited run AO in Carpex. I was months behind on my membership dues but Pickles promised that he could “fix it” with the Leadership if I became a co-Site Q and started paying him directly in unmarked $10s and $20s (privilege of him being the Dues Collector, I guess). At first, I was worried. I was fairly new to F3 and unlike Mama’s Boy people actually liked me after their first post with me. [Read More]

Clock n' Bells, In Cadence

Beautiful 50-ish degree Monday morning for Hell’s Bells and celebrating YHC’s 4th year in F3. Disco Duck is there early and helps get the bells out because we’re going to need them. Eleven men ready to go, including Crimson, sans-driver. We circle up… no, wait, let’s say the pledge first. Now circle up for our warm-up, everything in 4-count cadence: 5 Good Mornings 10 Sir Fazios 10 Fazio Sirs 10 Imperial Walkers 10 Cherry Pickers 10 Standard Merkins Thang 1: Count off into 4 groups. Rock around the Clock at the Big, Long Scottish Sword

A fine, forty-degree morning to Q what Frisco had told me was Carpex’s newest Tuesday AO, called Big, Long Scottish Sword. Apparently, site tradition holds that only one Site Q may preside at a time, today being the Thane of Pickles, and you have to imagine the flag. No FNGs, so let’s get to work. Warm up Backwards walk, high knee walk, and karaoke walk to the roundabout parking lot. [Read More]

Records are meant to be broken

As YHC has not attending a workout at Claymore more than a handful of times, he along with One Direction forgot its a 5:45 start. That being said a few warm up laps around parking lot killed the extra time. Beginning at 5:45, I a call for FNGS was made with no reply. With no flag in site.. we mozy’d pickle as then a site-q arrived with a flag. Stopped for pledge and then continued to other parking lot for warmups [Read More]

Gloom over Claymore

After being teased a bit with amazing spring weather, today was a day to test the PAX. Frankly we all failed as Carpex sites were poorly attended this cool rainy morning. Comfort won today hopefully lessons were learned… we’ll see. Here’s what went down for the stalwarts at Claymore today who decided to accelerate: Welcome, Mission of F3, & Pledge of Allegiance, begin warm-up with mosey to tennis courts. Classic warm-up, good mornings, windmills, fazios/overheads/seals (gonna work shoulders today), merkins, mountain climbers… lap around the courts to thang 1: [Read More]

Double Nickles Pickles

Sixteen HIMs showed up at Danger Zone to help YHC celebrate his 55th trip around the sun. A glorious morning, with the temp at 47° according to the Disco Duck-mobile. EC runners come rolling in and after some light mumble chatter it’s time to get started. Warm Up Windmills x 11 IC SSH x 11 IC Sir Fazio/Fazio Sir x 11 each IC Hillbillies x 11 IC Standard Merkins x 11 OMD (shout out to Saban for the reminder of “starting position, move” Thang 1: P-I-C-K-L-E-S At each end of the pickle, do the following, repeating the previous exercises each time: [Read More]

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

Been to Claymore a few times lately as YHC was on the IR for a few weeks. Time to step up and lead - and to show that you can get a really great workout without much running. Warm Up Mosey to the circle near the tennis courts following the Pledge. Circle up for SSHs, Sir Fazio arm circles forward and reverse, and Steve Earles. The Thang Mosey to the tennis courts, head to a far corner. [Read More]
