The Non Convergence Experience

Seeing the Q slot open a few weeks earlier and realizing I was still in need of said AO Q slot for the “box checking”, I eagerly entered my name onto the Q-Sheet. As the days passed, I then realized that the day in question was good ole Thanksgiving. Reaching out to Site-Qs.. the decision was made to stay open giving the PAX another option. With that said – and after a brief EC and no FNG’s in sight, we started with The Pledge… and [Read More]

No Mamby Pamby Here

On a rare weekend at home, Earhart put out the call there was no Q for Piranha Park. YHC quickly snapped it up. EC and pain options abound at Apex Nature Park, even though the AO has to start so late to allow Cheddar Bo Jr the chance to unlock the cot dang gate. Anyway, remembering an OTB EC run we did a few months ago in from Vicious Fishes then back again afterward, I decided to resurrect it. [Read More]

Piranha Park Pyramids

Forgetting to have picked the Q at last weeks Piranha Park’s hard launch as per site tradition, the Q was chosen at the popup Stone Cutters AO this past Wednesday. YHC had about 3 days to plan what is only my 3rd Q for a 60-minute boot camp. Inspiration struck when I saw the Carpex Core Challenge for the day was an 18-exercise pyramid (thanks Prodigal). Warmups Cloudy and 60 degrees. [Read More]

Return of the Deck

The evening finally came for the grand reopening of Carpex’s original evening AO, and it felt so good to be back! 10.5 pax came out to get their beatdown on. (because two 2.0s=1.5… which kept us “under the 10” mark) …ok fine it was 11 overall, but who’s counting? Either way, it was a big crowd for Rush Hour. And it was awesome to see! Ok, with that out of way, YHC started off with the mission statement and the Pledge of Allegiance. [Read More]

Keep Calm and Carry On

YHC checked the Q sheet Thursday and no Q had signed up. I was supposed to be out of state this weekend, but those plans got canceled, of course. So, I picked up the Q. Warm-up: We started with the pledge, then 8 boot campers separated off from 4 bruisers / ruckers. We ran from the flag to the kiosk in Bond Park for a little warm-up, basically just stretching with some good mornings, calf-stretch, and arm circles. [Read More]

So this was my first Q, was worried for a little while that no one would show, but luckily Adjacent showed up and then Earhart and Ninjago from a EC run so it was on. Its definitely different being on this side of the workout. I first started F3 six months ago and someone mentioned that you should start Qing after about six months (later found out I probably should have been doing this sooner) but that date happed to coincide with a pretty important personal anniversary for me, a goal I set a year ago so it seemed like fate.
