Fun with The Turd

When joining F3, it’s tradition that you must host a Q on the week of your birthday. So, HotCakes did his B-day Q at Rolling Stone and brought along The Turd. A travel size PT Sand bag that is just big enough to hold your Ruck plate for air travel. It started off with 30lbs, but b/c there was a request to lighten the load on a borrowed Ruck, we stuck another 10lbs into The Turd. [Read More]

Laughter, Grunts and Tears

HotCakes either catching his breath or getting distracted by a shinny object. After the beatdown from ThunderstRUCK on Wed, 4 PAX continued the bruising at Rolling Stone 4/5/19 with GoRuck Lucky 7 WOD #3. All this, to score for a sick patch: 1 mile-ish ruck north on Louis Stephens Dr and back-tracked to the soccer fields behind the elementary school. After determining that the ground flags were barely visible in the dark, a few soccer nets got moved around to serve as 25 meter markers. [Read More]

F3Prayer24

As I look around at the pax, I realize there are some new faces to me. Introductions were made to Carvana and Skipper, both here to Ruck. Noticeably missing was Fort Mills’ Dirty Hairy who was recently seen blotting out the sun, sporting his newly minted CARPEX™ Hello Kitty officially licensed gear, and was invited to attend N.W. Carpex’s premier High Tempo bootcamp. 🤐 A highly abbreviated disclaimer was shared….man can Hi-Liter talk, why don’t you lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance? [Read More]

Imperfect 10

YHC, some time back (before GT opened), posted at the site pre-opening, after running a 10k there from home, with plans to run home from there. Somewhere in the middle (okay, real close to the beginning), the tank was already empty. Q was calling some pretty high tempo stuff, and asked for pax to call an exercise upon arriving to the carpool dropoff spot. YHC was called upon, and called a 10-count to catch breath. [Read More]

Some may have been disappointed, expecting a Frey Daddy beat down, so I did my best to make the workout Frey-worthy. Let’s see how we did… Warm-Up Quick loop around the parking lot then circle up 20 SSH, IC 15 Windmill, IC 15 Hillbillies, HC 20 Merkins 20 MC, IC Thang 1 - Parking lot Paula Abdul [Read More]
