YHC had a front row seat at the DTC railroad crossing arm while watching the longest train in the world pass through the city. With all of the Maynarding happening these days, YHC isn’t sure of the crowd that might show up for the all-run first Thursday edition of El Capitan. So it is a pleasant surprise to see Lucky Charms, Flip Flop (TS), and Trident roll in to form a fast group. Options for low and middle mileage are scrapped, and we focus in on the long loop. My box checking has kept me away from FMJ for a while, and I am not fully prepared for the parking lot. I’m not sure what Ma Bell and Orphan are doing to this AO, but it looks like a war zone. I find a parking spot amidst the rubble and heavy machinery as Flat Saban and Happy Gilmore come back from an EC run. 8 for what feels like a pretty nice morning despite the weather forecast.
