10/5/18, The Liuzzo Scale of Magnitude of Vanillaness

5 for 7800° EC 3 mile run around the glorious Symphony Lake. 22 were there for the start of the standard issue vanilla boot camp, one could not handle the pressure and had to leave early. After the Pledge of Allegiance, we jogged to the parking deck for a standard Shut-In warmup followed by 70 LBCs in Cadence. Then went down the stairs and got in position for BTTW 5 count down the line and back, then we did some more LBCs, then we partnered up for Dora 1,2,3 with 100 Merkins, 200 calf raises and 300 LBCs. A Vanilla Birthday Bomb

I tried. Really, I did. I posted to Slack that it would be a workout devoid of anything interesting. There would be nothing to encourage anyone to show up. But people did anyway. 13 stalwarts with absolutely nothing else to do this morning yawned there way through an utterly vanilla workout. I was kinda hoping to stand around till 6 AM and then hit the Starbucks but at some point someone said, “Hey, is there anything going on in the park? From Florence to Flora

If you’re like most of us much of your time, mental, emotional, physical and spiritual energy has been spent either preparing for, getting through or rebound from Hurricane Florence. And rightfully so. One of the great things about F3 is that it allows us to escape from the daily stresses and toil in a whole other way. This is how we went from Florence to Flora. Watch Out For The Dog Jogger

3.5 mile EC run with YHC, Hermes, Build-A-Bear and Largemouth. No FNGs, but I meet Titanic and Daisy (as in the B.B. gun) Rolling Stone was supposed to make an appearance, but when we started there was no Bartman to be found. Later in the workout, a strange and mysterious light kept appearing on the bridge. Some thought it was a walker, or a biker, others a runner, still others a dog jogger. [Read More]

...Yes, there is a lake at this park

AO: A-Team August 13, 2018 Stepping in late last night to sub for an injured Pet Sounds, YHC posted what innocently turned out to be a somewhat misinformed plan for a Route 66 around the lake. Shout out to Sosa for warning of construction and related obstructions. Upon arrival and inspection of this particular AO (YHC’s first posting there), it was decided by a committee of one to modify. And, it being Monday the 13th, why not play in the parking lot with that number. Brotherhood of Stone

Pre-warm up: Some of the HIMs gathered by the pull-up bars for some extra credit sets; good job! Warm-up: Good mornings, Hillbillys, and to everyone’s surprise, LBCs (good for later). There was a lot of mumble-chatter at this point and spirits were high. Everyone grabbed a cinder block or a couple of concrete cylinders and we moseyed with them to the lower hill for Thang 1. Thang 1: American Hammers with Coupons on top and Berkins (Block Merkins) on the bottom for 11s with block carrying sprints in between. [Read More]
