What Ship Do You Captain?

The original Q had a last-minute conflict, so I grabbed the slot last night. It’s arm day. 19 Pax showed up for a Back-in-Black with no announced Q. Carpex 1stF Q Hermes was in attendance and took note. 5:15 start. I’m running a Q School 101 session in October, so I led with the mission and core principles, even though I was in front of the all-star team. Nailed the principles; work to be done on the mission. Hey, Hey What Can I Do

I’ve been back at school for over a week and feeling my age when trying to incorporate technology into remote learning. Not that I’m against it, just takes me a while to learn it and get comfortable using it; kind of like Hermes trying to use Wordpress. That was the spark for tonights workout. The exicon has many exercises named after Boomers and older. The theme was lost on the PAX. [Read More]

2 for Yahoo's six-pack

Since there was some discussion on Mumblechatter as to what constitutes a six-pack, the Rush Hour executive board, Kermit and YHC, has officially given Yahoo 2 workouts towards his first six-pack. We previously proposed that any workout that has a “feels like” temperature over 90 should count as two. Well, it was feels like 94. Some of you might remember, maybe about a year ago, Frisco decided to Q every day for a week. [Read More]

Everyone gets a Trophy.

There was some extra incentive for outstanding performances at Rush Hour. Since YHC was left out of the awards in the Hill Climb Mafia (I still can’t believe I didn’t get a sticker or anything), I thought the Rush Hour PAX could use some disingenuous recognition. So trophies were presented. Everyone went home feeling good, whether they deserved it or not. There was no pizza party or orange slices after, but 2 stopped at Bond Brothers for a reward. Summer in NC, almost

It has been almost 3 months, since my last Q at Rush Hour. Since starting in November 2019, I’ve not experienced summer workouts yet. As they say, it’s not the heat, but the humidity. I propose that workouts done when the “Feels like” temperature is over 90 degrees, count as two. At the end of Rush Hour, 87 degrees feels like 94. It is nice to be back. Two Minute warning, Pledge, Disclaimer, No FNG [Read More]
