Hotspot/Michelob 5-year F3-versary

25 HIM showed up at A-Team on the chilliest Monday morning in months to help Hotspot and YHC celebrate our 5-year F3-versary. Back in our day, A-Team was one of only 3 workouts per week in the Cary/Apex area, and there was no Carpex region as we were still part of F3 Raleigh. We’re very thankful to have been a part of the F3 growth in our area and also for the fellowship of all the Carpex PAX. [Read More]

Hotspot & Sooey were none-the-wiser

It has been a loooong time since I have Q’ed A-Team, so I thought I’d dig through the Backblasts to see what we did. As I was reading I thought this was a pretty good workout. Good enough to be repeated. And unless someone had a really good memory, maybe I can get away with it seeming “original.” The only two people who were there the first time were Hotspot and Sooey, and luckily they didn’t even notice. 18 Years Ago Tomorrow

This morning the PAX turned 10 tightly coiled fire hoses into 10 bandoleer-style, carryable fire hoses for the 9/11 Stair Climb tomorrow. We did it as part of a workout. As we lugged around those bandoleer-ed fire hoses for a Corners Thang–on a whim–I asked each PAX where they were eighteen years ago tomorrow. It was like a couple of blood brothers putting their hands together to see where one guy’s scar lines up with the others’. [Read More]

Checking slack last night, see notification that Frisco claims I have the Q for Claymore, which happens to consistent with Q sheet. Of course, I never signed up for this, but what the heck. Cousin Co-Q Na’mean

The first cousin co-q (correct me if I’m wrong) was led on 8/15/19, where Speed Racer took the PAX from the window and Peeping Tom brought us round to the wall. Warm Up Speed Racer called time and we moseyed to the bank where MARY was: IC:20x - SSH - High Knees - Windmills - Imperial Walkers Then, because most of us could use a little more stretching: IC:10x - Warm Up Squats [Read More]

Claymore EMOM

Headed to Claymore a bit early to scout out a spot to do PU’s. Turns out we got nothin there to hang from so it was time for an audible. Had some fun worked out on the tennis courts but need a bit more daylight so… audible II. 2 Frisco and Skipper enjoyed a morning walk together with heavy back packs, I think it was called something that rhymes with Puck. This was a Gross morning

Most of you would agree that the humidity this morning was absolutely gross, which fit in perfectly with my plan for the morning. You see, today marked my 144th day since I started with F3, something that I randomly figured out while planning this workout yesterday. So it was only fitting that the workout be inspired by a “dozen dozen” or 144. After a nice EC ruck with Repeato which left us completely soaked with sweat, we waited for the crowd to gather. Starting posish, move.

It won’t be 10, but ya boi will lock it down this week, so let’s go. -- To start: Heavy hearts across F3 Raleigh and beyond after hearing the news that Warchild (Alec Romulus) lost his battle with addiction this weekend. He was way too you. We lifted up him and his family through a moment of silence before the workout and many of our pax were in black from head to toe. [Read More]

Why Murph
