August 2017 - Today

I said to the PAX at Tortoise today - I cannot imagine my life if I didn’t find F3 a short 5 years ago. It has meant so much to me, as I found new friends, pushed myself, laughed, looked outside myself, and pushed my boundaries. This workout was a celebration of those 5 years. The Workout There is no magic or mystery to a Red Ryder workout. Most of the time, you can count on hitting all the major muscle groups while you continue to move for 45 minutes. [Read More]

Tin2Iron Cluster Q

1/27/2022 No Q to start the workout so YHC took control and called out the cluster Q format. Each HIM will think about 2 exercises and will lead it for the amount of reps they liked to reach. 5 HIMs braved the cold but it was glorious. Ausfahrt made the call to grab pavers so we obliged. YHC: Called a mosey around the pickle and we warmed up using the pavers, Alleluias, curls, and tricep extensions. [Read More]

Tin 2 Iron Challenge

Tuesday of this week, the HIM that had signed up to Q posted on Slack that he was on the injured reserve list. The call went out and another HIM had stepped up to Q the workout. Wednesday evening the backup Q had a 2.0 that was sick and out of precaution didn’t want to possibly spread to the PAX. The call went out for a backup to the backup. If nobody stepped up, there were discussions that it would be a cluster Q. [Read More]

Tortoises

Date: 11/17/2021 13 posted at #ao-wed-tortoisess We had no HIM step up to sign up and Q on the Q Sheet. So, I being the Site Q called a Cluster Q. What’s awesome about this format is everyone working out gets the opportunity to work on calling out the exercise, calling out the cadence, and leading the men through it (mini Q School). Also, the PAX has no clue what their Brother is going to call until they call it. [Read More]

Mechanic Training at #ao-thurs-tin2iron

Date: 9.30.2021 PAX: Ausfaht, Left Cheek, Zamboni, Bootlegger, YHC/QIC We did not have a Q so it was up to us to provide for our Brothers. YHC/QIC ask the HIMs to retrieve cinder blocks, KB and weighted rope while I got the tire. We set-up for a tabata crusher. As I was rolling out the tire, Left Cheek asked if we needed a sledge hammer. I replied ecstatically, “ABSOLUTELY!!!” Before the festivities, we Pledged our Allegiance to Old Glory and did a quick warm up. [Read More]

Lions and tires and bars, oh my!

It’d been a hot minute since YHC had Q’d something besides EC broga (Fridays 0515 @Dante’s Peak) so a limited run AO seemed like the perfect way to ease back into things. Plus I found out at my last Hell’s Bells post that we had not 1 but 3 tires tucked away onsite, so an idea was formed…possibly one better left as an idea, but more on that later. Warm-a-rama Good morning, on up & down, x5 TIE Fighters Fwd, Seal claps, TIE Fighters Rev, OH claps IC x10 each Low squat hold and side-to-side toe taps, IC x10…not sure if this move has a name, what about a Penguin squat? Workout Q is a no show so Site Q leaps into action always ready to lead the HIMs through the workout

Date: 4/15/2021 PAX: Ausfaht, Bogo, Nature Boy, Schroeder, WWW I was excited to pre-blast and highlight the workout because the original workout Q is known to create a super tough workout. Unfortunately, as 5:30 am rolls around, no workout Q. So, YHC stepped in as QIC to lead the men. We started with the Pledge Allegiance to Old Glory. Then we walked and warmed up at the same time around the pickle before the thang. [Read More]

Cinder Block Palooza

Date: 11/26/2020 PAX: Ausfaht, Michelob, WWW Since being in Alamance plant on a temporary assignment, I was not able to post in the gloom in the mornings. When the opportunity to post in the gloom was on Thanksgiving Day, I took advantage of it. Ausfaht kept the mission going by being there for the HIMs. I’m so proud of him. He still continues to bring enthusiasm and fire. QIC/YHC made sure that I made coffee for our fellowship afterwards. [Read More]

May the 4th Be With You - Almost (Chewie's VQ-ish)

Roughly a week ago YHC approached Kwik Stop and was like, “Hey Dude, want to come-up with a workout and Co-Q? at Tin2Iron?” In which the response that I heard was, “heck yeah” (or something like that…). So here we are. I woke-up at 3 a.m. with some major sciatic pain which helped me remember I forgot to charge the surround sound system for today’s beat down which still died in the middle of the workout and I had to plug the speaker into my vehicle. Thank you for your [Carpex] leadership [challenge]

Here’s a dang shame, but one I’m HIM enough to admit: it took me until this morning to post at Hells Bells, and I showed up to check a box for the Carpex leadership challenge. But in the process, I fell in love with one of the finest got danged AO’s in all of Carpex. Seriously, this place is the cat’s PJs. YHC, Snots and Yahoo… or was it Wahoo… I never know… took off for some EC. [Read More]
