11 x 2 = 22

Second Q ever for YHC was to the point with some room for improvement. Cadence counts are getting better and everyone had fun… I think. It was quiet, not much in the way of mumble chatter for this beatdown. Thanks to the 18 that showed for the track work and 22’s. It was a beatdown and according to GTL possibly a new record for distance with the 3.5 miles we racked up. [Read More]

AND Back in the Saddle

Whew, it’s been a while! YHC did have one random Hells Bells Q during my extended stay on the IR but today’s Q definitely puts me back in the saddle. There was a great crowd of 17 pax to welcome YHC back in and a nice cool breeze ta boot. Back in January listening to the F3 podcast it was suggested that all of our workouts start with the disclaimer. Everytime. [Read More]

"Time and tide wait for no man" - G. Chaucer

Additionally, time doesn’t wait for the Q either. And while I was well aware of the start time, once we started, I forgot we ended at 6:15, not 6:30. I’m going to blame it on the rain. It actually wan’t too bad this morning. Light drizzle, not heavy downpour and warmish temps. As you can imagine, nobody got dehydrated. It’s 5:30 so off we went. Light warm up jog to the loading dock where we: (reps are approximate) [Read More]

2nd Time Around

Shank put out the APB for a Q on Sunday night. YHC perused the work calendar for a moment, and heeded the call. I was set for my 2nd ever Q on Thursday at BO, but in retrospect I’m glad it came a couple of days early. Monday, being President’s Day, provided the rare opportunity to double dip for an AO survey and an outing with my 2.0. The last few weeks have been bittersweet on that front - my M is 36 and a half weeks along with our 2. [Read More]

Men at Work

A Few of Our Favorite Things

Asystole led dragged YHC through a couple EC loops around the ToC buildings, which included pain stations for various merkins, pull-ups on a tree, step ups, box jumps, ab work, and forward/backward bear crawls and crab walks. About 20 minutes in I started to wonder if I would be able to complete my own main event workout. In the meantime, 4 more PAX showed up on this steamy mid-October afternoon. Riptide informed us that today was the latest day of the year it had ever hit 90 degrees. [Read More]

No Stairs, No Squats, No Lunges
